Second Floor Jazz Quartet

In 2000 for a special requiest, Dezső Balogh(pianist,leader)made a jazz trio with two other hungarian acknowledged musician with György Orbán bassist,and Gábor Petényi drumer,to entertain the audience not only on jazz festivals,but also in clubs,and in hotels...
In this year they won the JAZZ 2000 INTERNATIONAL JUNIOR JAZZ FESTIVAL in Budapest.
By the way, they soonly realised that the band will need a manager, that they found in very good friend called Xavier Dubuc, and his son Arthur.
In 2001 the band got its first invitation to play in the world famous hotel, "Hotel De Paris" in the jazz bar called "Bar American", and In the Cabaret of Monte-Carlo. Untill 2004, just in trio.
They changed for a Quartet formation in 2004, they've complete the quartet with the singer Eszter Lukács. Since that, they've play regularly in Monte-Carlo in the best hotels, and on important events of Monaco with a great success.
The band's music is characterized by the understandable, soft swing & lounge jazz, and the intenational entertaining music,including even evergreens, as new age, just as musics of different nations all over the world... As the name "second floor" shows, we can recognize an individual,original sound, and a not conventional style of entertainig music
