...... Aloha! I'm Kennicott Yap and glad that you stopped by! I started playing a ukulele at age 4 and at age 8 I started playing a piano accordion. At 11 or 12 yrs of age I picked up the guitar that sat in the corner of the house for so many years collecting dust. And since then haven't stopped. I joined the Boys Glee and Boys Choir in Jr High School. I was in and out of bands in my teens searching for people my age who wanted to write their own music with out any luck. Then I joined the US Navy and with a few sailors formed a band called Gemeral Quarters and kept the moral up in ships company. Then of course marriage. At this point in time my mid twenties I stopped covering tunes and started searching for my own style and sound. Throughout the years , the good times and the bad I never stopped playing. The end result you now hear. I thank you for stopping by and sharing bits of time with me and hope you truly enjoy my music. Special Guests beim 3. High Noon Country Festival
Schon seit Ende vergangenen Jahres steht das Line Up des 3. High Noon Country Festivals am Kulturbahnhof B3 im nordrhein/westfälischen Borgholzhausen fest. Jetzt wurde jedoch eine Ergänzung des Programms bekanntgegeben. Das Bielefelder Rockabilly Trio
"The Folsom Prisoners"
wird Samstag gegen 14:00 Uhr einen halbstündigen Auftritt auf dem Festival geben und damit für ihren Auftritt auf der 4. Ausgabe des Festivals am 20. und 21. August 2011 werben. Die Folsom Prisoners setzen sich zusammen aus: Suspicious Sam, Vocals und Bass - Big "O" Fulton, Guitar und Vocals - Shotgun Ray, Drums und Vocals. Trotz der Gefahr, die von diesen drei "Schwerverbrechern" ausgehen könnte, hat die Festival Leitung darauf verzichtet, einen Stahlkäfig auf der Bühne aufzubauen und vertraut lieber auf eine Handvoll eingeflogener US Marshalls, die sich unter das Publikum mischen und dafür sorgen, dass nichts ausser heisser Musik die Bühne verlässt.
