Bio
Alyssandra and the Daymakers have been cooing the ears and wooing the hearts of Long Beach for the past 3 years. They play local shops, bars, festivals and house shows. Alyssandra Nighswonger is a Jill of all trades and open mic host at local coffeehouse, Viento y Agua, inspired by storytellers like Shel Silverstein and Harry Nilsson. Ellen Warkentine is theatrical composer and a teacher, and develops music for productions of the Four Larks Theater company, The Garage Theater and the Alive Theater. Doug Brown is the most downright likeable guy you'll ever meet, studying to get his teaching credential and plays bass in another awesome local band, Boris Smile. Travis Christopherson, one of Alyssandra's childhood friends, has played drums in bands, Last Day Standing, The Tydintyms, Jazz Rx, and various polynesian dance groups. Together, they form a group of musicmakers that will sweep your soul in a whimsical flurry of sweet and salty harmonies, rich melodies, and stories intended to incite the utmost delight. -

This second installment of the Detour series invites the viewer to revisit the perceptual experiment conducted in Detour 1 only instead of presenting the images in a rapid succession, here they are slowly fragmented almost like a puzzle occasionally coming together to form complete images. - Jennifer C. I'm looking for bands to play at The Blue Cafe(s) for every night of the week and select saturdays at the Puka Bar in Long Beach. You can refer to my booking blogs for what is available or send over a message of what sounds good and I can shoot over some dates for you.
Hope to hear from you soon

A performance experiment consisting of nearly 3 hours of home video footage arranged in an edit timeline and manually scrubbed at high speed in an attempt to generate random sensory impressions similar to memory fragments within the viewer's mind from which a personal subliminal narrative can be derived, similar to that of a recovering amnesia patient. - Stock Creatin1 year ago
