    Hi everyone! Thank you first of all for gracing my page with your presence and taking the time to find out a litte more about this small time devonshire lass :) So, heres me!...Born Amie J Corridan on a sunny august 20 something years ago! :) I was raised in a little village just oustide plymouth and Ive been singing pretty much since I could make noise. Music and my family have gone hand in hand for generations, so its in my blood FO SHO!!!! My grandmother, Jazz singer June Marlow (Jeanie to me and where i get my J!) and grandfather the double bass playing maestro Peter Van Dike met fell in love and toured in a jazz band then went on to found the legendary Van Dike Club in the 70s whilst other members of my family dj, strum, tinkle and wack various instruments in bands and solo projects, generally performing at every opportunity :) Ive been writing songs for a while now but still but Im always trying to learn more and work out new ways to express myself through this precious artform. Music is my world, and I think like most musicians I dont know what Id be without it. Over the past few years Ive been fortunate to work with some amazingly talented folk including Aldo Vanucci, Superduper Dan, and John Kennedy on a collection of songs, some of which are right here in demo form on my page!! The song written and produced by myself and Aldo "I think Im gonna make it" was released as the B side to my debut single, retro inspired cover of the Kooks hit "Naive" (available on 7" and iTunes now!) which has done better than we could have hoped for winning "Record of the Week" @ FatCity and receiving glowing reviews and airplay from Craig Charles on his BBC funk and soul show, 1xtra and various regional and international radio stations. At the mo Im living in london concentrating on writing with my new band The Orchids PLEASE CHECK US OUT!! but im always up for getting involved in new ventures and writing for/with other musicians if they are interesting to me.....if you are interested/interesting get in touch!! :) Thank you for taking the time to read and for a moment entering my little bubble people!
