  • Bio

Amity island are moving into a new realm for 2011, having established a solid local following from their short yet successful run of gigs in 2010 they are set to return with a new line up and an even bigger setlist. Amity island wishes to thank Sibz and Big Al for their input & support but most of all their friendship over the past 12 months, both Sibz and Big Al have moved on to pursue their own projects and we wish them both all the best for the future. Whilst Amity island has been on 'shut-down' they have tragically lost a founding member, John Holburn. John was the initial driving force behind the band and had it not been for his popularity, talent and foresight Al and Si might not ever have met each other. As many of Amity island fans are aware, John is dearly missed and is always in the minds of his friends and family. Looking to the future Amity island will be sporting a new frontman in the shape of Matt McCabe, Matt has a colourful past in entertainment and show business, more details of which will be released in due course. Additionally, Amity island are looking for a permanent Bass player, in the meantime their very close friend, and immensely talented musician, Andrew Forbes will be filling in until the position is filled. Matt, Al & Si will also be found in the area performing a varied acoustic set providing an extra limb for Amity Island. Be sure to check them out!!
