If you are familiar with your standard local hardcore show, you are aware that the shows usually have the same line-up and draw the same amount of kids every time. This outcome is expected, except when there is one name on the bill; Anomia. Their live performances draw out kids from afar and are a spectacle that one must see with their own eyes. Their drummer (Austin) has an array of cymbals surrounding him, with lights bouncing off as it would with water. Those said lights are controlled by their synth player (Nate) who flashes various lights while mesmerizing the crowd with almost eerie synth noises and fast, but smooth, synth fills and random bursts of energy when he leaves his synth workstation and joins the fans out on the floor.
All of these sounds and lights incorporate fantastically with the guitarists (Brian and Kyle) and bassist (Sean) who not only play well, but give a performance of a lifetime. The last bit of the performance is their eccentric yet captivating lead singer (Jase), who uses his vocal cords to reach the unbelievably astounding “lows” and “highs” of his voice. While he sings he walks around the floor, singing to his fans, and letting them sing along to their favorite songs as well.
Most of you are familiar with your local hardcore scene, but make sure you check out any show with Anomia. It will surely be a show you will not forget.

The Heaviest Matter Of The Universe Review of "ESM"-

    Dan Moore Review of "ESM"-

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Many local bands come and go. Line up changes, fallout's, break ups.
I don't see this ever happening with the boys from ANOMIA. They are
the most relieving breath of frsh air to waft through the crumbling
Massachusetts local "scene". There is no ONE direction the album takes.
Every track, every chord, every next move is unpredictable and very exciting.
The energy, feel, and sound of ESM is so raw and inviting. You take one look
at vocalist Jase, and you do not expect the whirlwind of intensity his presence
and vocal style brings to the table. I usually don't take a large liking to synth
in bands, but they do it in perfect amounts, bringing atmospheric undertones,
and a fantastic light show as well. The group as a whole bring something to the
table alot of bands lack today, family values. They are the closet group of dudes
to share the stage together I have seen in years. If you are getting bored with
the mundane and typical "core" outfit, please grab yourself a copy of ESM. They
take so many "core" and "non core" elements, throw them in a blender, and
produce a Molotov cocktail of intense, heartfelt, ball stomping, finger blistering
jem of a debut album. My one disappointment with the album was the production and
mastering quality of the album. But if your not looking for a complete studio
master works, and are into raw, heavy, underground shit with a kick, please do
your selves a huge favor, pick up the album, and go to a show. The show alone will
have you addicted and hungry for more. I always tell the guys they will be doing
big things with this band, lets take them there, get the album NOW
    ."
