  • Bio

.. .. Ariel Bitran's "Songs from Koholint Island" describe the epic sage of Link, our story's hero, struggling within the depths of adventure, greed, and lust. In these songs, Ariel acts as the 1st person narrator of a dramatic story based on the Gameboy game, Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. Plenty of songs from the series are posted on this myspace. .. Ariel also sings and plays multiple instruments for Swampluck with friends Alex Penman, Jordan Levinson, and Isaac Gillespie .. ..Here's what people are saying about Ariel.. .. "Dude, can you get the bass from the closet?" -Isaac Gillespie- .. "He surprised me with a kind of Carl Perkins/Robert Goulet/Adam Green voice...But I'm sure for those who are captivated by Zelda it was a rich experience. I did like the mouth clicking that Ariel did in the intro to the song." -Herb Scher- .. "What a fuckin' diva." -Ben Krieger-

    Hi Ariel,
Your presence is requested at Postcrypt Coffeehouse @ Columbia University this Saturday the 28th. I'm playing the 9:30 set. All acoustic, no mics, free popcorn.

Take the 1 train to 116th, enter the campus at 116th & Broadway, and ask for directions to St. Paul's Chapel (Postcrypt is in the basement).
