Army of Dub is dub music in Argentina.

Why? Because Army of Dub is a project that is completely dedicated to dub music. And because through it's series of event promotions and studio productions over the past several years, it has become a dub staple within Argentina.

For several years now, Army of Dub has hosted 50*08 Dub!, a weekly event dedicated to all forms of dub music. Located at La Cigale in the heart of Buenos Aires, this successful party has received much praise from the public and press alike, both in Argentina as well as abroad.

Among the many Army of Dub highlights of the past year, a few worthy of mention are: Lucas Luisao's performance at Club Pacha (where dub artists are rarely invited); three separate Daleduro vinyl releases; Lucas Luisao's performance at the South American Music Conference; and last but definitely not least, Army of Dub's inclusion in the world-renown Creamfields Buenos Aires yearly event.

Army of Dub attacks Europe!

This summer, Army of Dub will be launching their 2008 Army European Tour. On this tour will be: Luisao (Army of Dub founder and dub/digital dub spacialist) and Daleduro (Argentina's premier dubstep DJ and producer). Together, they wiill be visiting Germany, France, Spain, England and beyond, and are currently accepting bookings from May 17th through July 18th.

Lucas Luisao, hailing out of Argentina, is a producer, DJ, and founding member of Army of Dub. Very active in the Buenos Aires music circuit, Luisao is the resident DJ every week at 50*08 Dub!, which in the past four years has been visited by such artists as Mad Professor, Easy Star All Stars, and MCA of the Beastie Boys.
For the past two years Luisao has also been a part of the TRIMARCHI DG, the biggest graphic design event in the world.
A self-taught musician, Luisao has collaborated with several different record labels – such as Blackside Inc and Pixie Pirata -- on his own productions, and has also gained much recognition for his quality mixtapes and original mash ups. Luisao is among the unique group of DJs that plays entire sets dedicated to cumbia-dancehall mash-ups – a style cultivated in Buenos Aires – at the popular nightclub Zizek.

Daleduro is an Argentinean DJ and producer of dubstep, a genre born out of the cross between the roots of dub and the modernism of 2-step garage – creating a genre full of energy, rhythm, and punishing low frequencies.
2007 saw Daleduro making the rounds in many of Argentina's most well-known underground clubs -- including Zizek, Revolt, 50*08 Dub!, +160 and Break Da Rules (which he co-produced) – helping definitively place Argentinean dubstep on the world map. Daleduro also formed part of the Artemotion Tour, organized by Nokia Trends and highlighted on documentaries aired on Argentinean television throughout the year. On that tour, Daleduro toured throughout Argentina with many of the country's best-known visual artists, musicians, and DJs.
In 2008, Daleduro also saw the release of several of his own dubstep and cumbiastep productions on well-respected labels such as Bersa Discos (CA, USA), Skuzzy Beatz (UK) and Soot Records (DJ Rupture's label from NYC, USA).

South American Rude Boys.

Once a month, both Luisao and Daleduro combine forces in a showcase they call From Dub To Dubstep, where they traverse the entire spectrum of dub during their set – from its early beginnings to its most extreme forms.
Together, this “Armada de Dub” plans on bringing to the world their own South American sound and style, tearing up dancefloors across the globe with their unique breed of cumbia-dancehall remixes and heavy dubstep selections.
