.... The Harbinger Saga.. A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away (wrong saga, sorry) .... About a year ago in a little town in the suburbs of Los Angeles.... Thom and Matt met while humping Joes for Starbucks (by humping Joes I mean they were slinging Joes, (by slinging Joes I mean they were slinging coffee (by slinging coffee I mean they were serving coffee)) Thom, a veteran of the So Cal music scene, was immediately interested in Matts high energy output. (Some say its the coffee, others say he was born with an invisible intravenous speed drip, it remains a mystery to this day.) Thom saw an unbelievable drummer in Matt, before Matt had ever took his place behind a kit..... (Meanwhile, Anthony is totally kicked ass his first semester of college! Well meet him later, just sit tight!).... Matt invested in the power of Santa Claus, and for some reason him and Thom both got their wish on the Christmas of 2005 when Matt got his first drum set. No one knows where the drums came from, some say Santa, some say Matt bought them, we dont ask, he doesnt tell. What we do know is that Matt worked furiously to develop his beat skills. (ha ha beat skills) Thom, was very impressed with his progression. Under the moniker Harbinger, Thom made Matt play his first show after playing for something like 5 weeks!!! (What a tyrant that Thom is huh?).... Meanwhile back at the Bat Cave.... Travis and Thom had been friends for a while. Thom, with his keen sense of musicality, needed to fill an empty spot in the band. With just a guitar and drums, Thom was avoiding a crappy White Stripes sound when he asked Travis to try out for the open Bass spot in the band. Travis picked up a Bass in February of 2006. He tried out and Thom deemed him unworthy of the Harbinger sound (by unworthy I mean he was too busy working crazy shifts). (He tried out again and was later upgraded to good enough in March).... Harbinger played a few shows here and there The Anarchy Library, The Stardust, Friar Tucks, The venue formerly known as the Crows Nest, (::Ahem:: Wal-Mart), and even a birthday party or two. That is until Travis, while running for some reason, suffered severe shoulder damage. (Poor guy).... Thom and Anthony randomly ran into each other at a small gathering on the 17th of June 2006. With short attention spans, Thom and Anthony needed something to entertain themselves. They ran to Anthony’s house, grabbed a couple of guitars and immediately clicked. It was that night that Thom asked Anthony to fill in until Travis’ bum shoulder healed. Anthony went to his first practice soon after. Travis’ shoulder healed much quicker than expected, so instead of playing bass, Anthony took up the spot of lead guitarist. It wasn’t until August 5th that Anthony played his first show with Harbinger at a small party. .... Four beers were put cheers position and the boys shouted Harbinger and the deal was sealed..... That brings us up to speed with how the guys met..... Today: The band practices and plays whenever they get a chance. Thom is the main song writer in the band, but all of the other members (ha ha members) make democratic decisions about the direction of the band. Its a very chill process; things are usually discussed over beers. And so it continues (much like a Led Zeppelin song), the rest has yet to be written. Day by day, Harbinger gets a little better, the shows get bigger and the people get a little friendlier. .... A new chapter in the Harbinger Saga was completed as of late. This day of our lord ::cough cough:: has brought forth the Harbinger Demo CD. We’ve cleverly decided to call it "Demolition". We’re almost positive that someone else has taken the name, but ..FUCK THEM!!!.. It’s ours now. Peace, love and kitty cats got your tongue?

..HA HA We’re members!........Thom Houghton- Vocals, Guitar.. ..Thom has been playing guitar for 10 years and is the rhythm guitar and vocals of Harbinger. His influences include Lit, Green Day, System of a Down, Mest, Sugar Cult, Papa Roach (to name a few). He also plays bass, drums, mandolin, piano, and harmonica. He also enjoys writing music, going to parties, concerts, playing pool, and going out for a good drink (black and tan bitches) He has been writing songs ever since the day he picked up a guitar..... ..Matt- Drums.. ..Matt has been beating skins since puberty. (kidding) Matt has been playing drums since the beginning of the year. His dedication to his craft shines when providing the beats to Harbinger tunes. He’s an exciting ball of energy, fueled by Monster and amazing to watch..... ..Travis Gutierrez- Bass, Back-up Vocals.. ..Travis has been playing since February 2006. He is still learning everyday and is still finding his sound. ..Harbinger fact: Thom and Travis lived together for 9 months and had a party just about every night (good times)... Travis gets his influence from Alkaline Trio, Strungout, Nofx and Rancid, (too name a few). It was Thom who inspired Travis to pick up an instrument and learn to play..... ..Anthony Medina- Guitar, Back-up Vocals....Anthony has been playing guitar for about 9 years. His influences include Strung-Out, Bad Religion, Alkaline Trio, NOFX, the Vandals... etc. Anthony’s passion for music is evident in the clothing he wears. He doesn’t own any shirts without band logos. He’s also going to school to be a math teacher. Terrible right? You guys need to talk him out of it!
