This Thursday, May 17, the Broken Speech Poetry Slam releases its first ever Team Orlando anthology featuring work by 2007 Grand Slam Champion Curtis Meyer, BSX Intergalactic Heavyweight Champion Ronin, Sami J, j. bradley, and Tim Rumsey. This chapbook features a total of 20 poems all for the low price of $10 with all proceeds going towards Team Orlando's expenses to the 2007 National Poetry Slam. If you are coming to this Thursday's slam, you can pre-order a copy and pick it up at Stardust Video and Coffee on Thursday, May 17. If you're not able to make the slam or are out of town, you can pre-order a copy for $12 (10 + 2 shipping and handling) and we will send it out by Thursday, May 17. Last Thursday, we had an amazing slam. 8 poets, 2 rounds and the most time penalties ever in Broken Speech Poetry Slam history (we had one poet that had a 6 point penalty - brutal). At the end of this poetic melee, Tod Caviness took 3rd, Sami J. took 2nd, and our BSX Intergalactic Heavyweight Champion Ronin took 1st winning the amazingly awesome packet of grape jelly.
