Iconoclast, bon vivant, cocksman, slacked-jawed half-wit: all words to describe lead vocalist Kurt Kishler. As a small child, Kurt derived great joy from playing records for the neighborhood children " Its Howdy Doody Time ", then dropping a dose of " Kick out the Jams " laughing gleefully as they all ran home screaming for their mommies........ Fast Forward several years ( decades ), and after many fits and starts with other local bands, Kurt finds hi mself fronting BusTeD and he couldnt be happier. Kurt uses Sennheiser microphones and Latin Percussion beat-y things, but he doesnt discriminate when it comes to alcoholic beverages. So feel free to buy him one of your choosing....heck, several................ Eric Geoffrey Drake - lead guitar born a happy child Geoff started his music early as his aunt noticed a natural gift of music with him and encouraged his parents to develop it...at eight he started classical piano and took ten years of lessons....in his early teens he discovered Rock & Roll and the guitar..by himself and with some help and encouragement from older brother Steve taught himself guitar....played in high school bands...after high school played the cincinnati circuit in such rock bands as ... Jose Castanada and the boat people ( ' 84-' 86 ), Recluse ( '86-88), Deception ( '88-'91 ), The Other ( '92-96 ), and then a well needed break........after that break good friend and fellow musician Scott Kass ( played in several bands above ) gave Geoff a call about getting something together again and BustaSeal was born....only to die a tragic death as Scott and Geoff were not happy with the results...Merging with existing band ''Out all Night'' a new band "BustinOut" was born...surprisingly doing real well and lasted the next four years...after the release of their cd " GET WET " artistic differences set in and an inevitable end of this chapter..not wanting to quit Scott and Geoff gave original BustinOut drummer Frank Adams and second lead vocal Kurt Kishler a call and in late 2007 "Busted" was born. Gone were the women in BustinOut along with the musical fluff and rock is back...in a stripped down, ballsy attack on rock and roll ...........and Geoff couldnt be happier Geoffs eqiupment guitars- 1976 Fender Stratocaster, 1986 Kramer focus, acoustic Alvarez,... amps - strickly MARSHALLS !!!! effects - mxr distortion , Dunlop cry-baby wah-wah, small stone phase shifter, dod chorus............. microphones - shure 57 and 58's............. Dennis (sticks) Gates - Drums and Backing Vocals... Self taught, starting pounding the skins in high school rocking in garage and open air neighborhood parties.. started playing the Cincy scene in the late 70's laying down the beat for some long forgotten bands.. The Charlie Michael Band, Mud, Momentum, The KaZoobie Brothers, Intelli-Groove and Five Oclock Friday..After a long hiatus away from music in the mid 2,000's after some urging from friends Dennis pulled out the Pearls and formed "Intelligroove" which quickly morphed into " Five O'Clock Friday"... with the leaving of original drummer Frank Adams, Dennis quickly jumped at the chance to lay down the beat for BUSTED a band with solid roots, great following and impeccable music talent.... Dennis loves amber ales although will not turn down a free beer no matter if its amber or not............Scott Kass - Bass and backing vocals..........Scott has been playing the bass since he was 14 years old. There were 3 drummers in his family so having rythym was a prerequisite yet being the non-conformist Scott is the bass was a perfect fit an instrument you FEEL and hear...Grand Funk Railroad was his earliest infuence and from there fell deeply into the fusion beasts of the seventies, Stanely Clarke, Jaco Patorius, and Andy West to name a few...Always searching for the individualist on the bass Scott has always went for the virtuoso with a difference...Stu Hamm, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool and others were soon to catch his ear......An absolute FunkMonster Scott played in bands all through High School and after in the Cincy area for many years....In 1988 after jamming with Eric Geoffrey Drake and noticing a natural chemistry and friendship put together " Deception" a short lived power trio with Mark Schoettmer on drums...Tired with playing the standards Scott then moved with Geoff to "The Other" and alternative band that had success in the Cincy Area....the mid nineties brought a change as The Other disbanded Scott went with Dayton area bands " Spanked and Brutus" Successful but missing the fun had in previous bands the 21st century brought Scott to call Geoff and try to get something together again...."Bustaseal" was born..not happy with the results they were joined by existing band "Out All Nite" and a High energy pop and dance band was born " BusTinOut". After 4 years the band came to artistical differences and Scott left with the key pieces of " BusTinOut" formed a new band " BusTeD "with a return to the harder edged balls out Rock and Roll of his earlier career......Scott plays Alembic, Carvin, Steinberger, Hamer, and Rickenbacher basses....Engelhardt upright acoustic....his equipment is mostly Carvin, SWR, BBE, and other fun gadgets......nicknamed THE HAMMER come out and see why........Scotts philosophy of life,,,, " GO FUNK YOURSELF "......

Influences
Musically we are a very diverse group of individuals.....of course Hard Rock but, Blues, Jazz, Funk, Alternative and R and R play into the mix....but each member is influenced by different forms of music....Frank Adams is a Powerhouse drummer..Neil Peart, John Bonham, Carmine Appice to name a few.....Kurt Kishler has been into everything from MC5 to Van Morrison. Scott Kass ( also known as the Hammer ) brings thunder back to the bass..while being a true funk monster fusion is also responsible for scotts sound....Victor Woooten, Stanley Clarke, and Jaco Pastorius are few while still keeping it real with rockers like Geddy Lee, Sting, Flea, and John Entwistle.............Eric Geoffrey Drake is influenced by all types of music. The song writing of Lennon/ McCartney (Beatles) and Pete Townshend (The Who) are truly the greatest..Geoff also digs the virtuosos like Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and also loves the roots of it all....the blues. Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, and Albert King....80's Hair Metal and too many more to list...................this unusual blend of styles creates a truly diverse band...a hard rocking, riff-burning, salute to Rock and Roll
