Bio
08-24-09.…. So one more time for old time’s sake……“WE ARE BUTTERFACE…WE ARE FROM MODESTO CALIFORNIA AND WE ARE HERE TO REPRESENT OUR CREW…GBA UNDERGROUND!!!” Now with that being said, you may have heard that we are no longer going to be playing together and yes this time around….it is true. But the last thing we want anyone to think is that we have “broken up.” To me that term could be no further from the truth and honestly just that thought leaves a bad taste in my mouth and reflects something negative. Nothing about this band has ever been negative so I would hate it for someone to look at it in that fashion. Instead look at it like finally reaching the end of a very long road. One that was flat out bumpy as a mutha fucker, but even more gratifying once then end was in sight. We were never a band that based our success on the number of records we sold or the size of the crowd we were honored enough to be playing for. We always had a saying “ one person at time” and that was good enough for us. When you really get down to the heart of the matter, our only real goal was to make the music that we believed in with the people that we believed in. So now with that no longer being possible it would make no sense to continue. Of course we gotta send out a whole lotta thanx to all of our families and friends that have supported us along the way and the rad cats and kittens that we were blessed enough to meet here, there and everywhere in between. (This is where I should attempt to make a long ass list names but I don’t want to forget anyone and hurt anyone’s feeling…which I will…you all know who you are and you mean the world to us) To our captured founding member Geoff Antus….thanx for paving the way, it hasn’t been the same without you. And you know what? We would even would like to thank all the haters out there that said we weren’t punk enough because we didn’t have our mohawks spiked up or dressed in black at every show. You were what truly made us the band that we were. Because of you we had no choice but to pull closer together, to become more driven and more focused regardless of anyone’s opinion. You were truly the coal that keep our engine running . So anyway….that is what is up with that. For anyone that is stumbling upon us for the first time…..welcome and please take a look around. We will be posting brand new cuts from our upcoming full length album in the coming weeks so keep an eye out because we are stoked on it and we think you will be also. We have already posted a few songs they are "curriculum" and "big easy"(The other remaining tracks are the last stuff we recorded with Geoff). It will be available for download and at all GBA UnderGround affiliated events. Sincerely yours, Jake, Nick and Jesse .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. butterface4-24 hoedown asylum .. .. .. .. .. .. .. brave new world .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .......... -
