    Catalan! Arts is intended to identify and internationally disseminate the production of the cultural industries based in Catalonia: record companies and labels, publishers, art galleries, theatre companies, audio-visual and multimedia companies. Also gathers the contributions of associations and other entities that work to improve creation in Catalonia and to show it to the world. Catalan! Arts was created in 2005 in reply to the needs to promote the Catalan cultural industry at international fairs and markets. The Catalan! Arts trademark has different versions that allow better representation of Catalan cultural production.

    Catalan! Arts is the website for the Catalan cultural industries hosted by Catalan Institute for the Cultural Industries, ICIC’s International Promotion. The Catalan Institute for the Cultural Industries is a public institution, attached to the Catalan Government’s Ministry of Culture and the Media that is charged with promoting and fostering the development of the Catalan cultural industry. ICIC offers support to companies in all cultural fields: music, theatre and performing arts, audio-visual, publishing and media, and visual arts. The Promotion Department has been offering support to the production of professional projects and their promotion abroad. On one hand, through its access to international markets via its network of offices around Europe. On the other, Catalan! Arts trademark, and its derivatives, is intended to strengthen the Catalan companies’ presence in international fairs and events. The main services Promotion Department offers are: * The co-ordination of the Catalan presence at international fairs, festivals and markets * Market research and consultancy on export and internationalisation projects * Nurturing professional networking in Catalonia and abroad * Creation of promotion and marketing tools * Support for the presence in international media
