Dad, I miss you. There is so much you have taught me and so much you will continue to teach me. Mom says that everyday I seem to become more and more like you. I always envied you because you were my hero. To me, you were invincible and I had never taken the time to think about you being gone. Just disappearing out of my life for me to never see you again. The pain hurts deeper than anything I can ever imagine. But for me to wish you were here again would be selfish. You are happy now, no matter where you are or what you are doing. I don't believe in heaven much but when it comes to you, it helps to ease the pain to think you are with Tom and Grandpa Dyer. Now you are gone and there is absolutely nothing I can do to change that. It is still completely unreal to me. I think about it every day and it still seems like you are just on a long vacation. It is strange and sometimes I can't take it. When I think hard about it, I don't want to take it. But now you have taught me that life is worth living to the fullest. Spend all the time you can possibly with those you love and care about because one day they will all be gone. You may never even expect it or imagine it and it can still happen. Life is short so live it while you got it. Make sure to show everyone you love just how much you really love them. How much time do we have? Not much. Life is the shortest lasting thing on earth. Live your life to the utmost and take chances, make mistakes, and try your hardest and put forth the most effort so you can leave your legacy. Life is over just as quick as it starts.
