How I made my profile:

1) Tecnico del suono dal 1992, dopo essermi diplomato alla E.M.I.T... di Milano nel 1991.

2) Inizio della mia attività live con band indipendenti della scena milanese e piacentina (Carnival of Fools e Lilith ex Not Moving).

3) Nel 1994 apro il mio primo studio, il SOUND MACHINE RECORDING, piccola sala semi-professionale.

4) Nel 1995 ho prodotto una band dell'area bolognese,i THREE SECOND KISS e lavorando con loro anche Live sono venuto a contatto, nel 1996, con UZEDA di Catania, primo gruppo italiano a firmare per un'etichetta del calibro della TOUCH & GO di CHICAGO, divenendo il loro Live Sound Engineer.

Con UZEDA, oltre alle decine di date dal vivo in Italia, ho seguito un tour con UZEDA e SHELLAC ( band di STEVE ALBINI tecnico del suono e produttore dei NIRVANA "In Utero" di PJ HARVEY "Rid of me" e di JIMMY PAGE & ROBERT PLANT "Walking into Clarksdale", solo per citarne alcuni) che mi ha dato modo di osservare STEVE in studio durante le registrazioni di "Different Section Wires" di UZEDA.

5) Sempre con UZEDA ho poi fatto due tour negli USA che mi hanno dato modo di reincontrare STEVE, di conoscere DON ZIENTARA (storico recordist dei FUGAZI) e di vederli al lavoro nei loro studios.

6) Nel 1997 e 1998 ho seguito in diversi tour Europei ed Italiani i JUNE OF 44(2), DAVID GRUBBS(2), WILL HOLDHAM, BEDHEAD, BLONDE REDHEAD, MAN OR ASTROMAN, WARMERS.

7) Nel Maggio del 1999, con il mio socio ANDREAS VENETIS, tecnico del suono greco, apriamo un nuovo studio: il RED HOUSE RECORDINGS, specializzandoci nel dare all'underground italiano un suono finalmente internazionale a dispetto dei budget ridicoli che girano in questo ambiente e diventando una linea guida che ha cambiato il modo di fare i dischi nellunderground italiano alzandone il livello generale.

8) Nel Settembre del 1999 ho lavorato al RED HOUSE RECORDINGS alla preproduzione di "Aria" di GIANNA NANNINI a cui hanno partecipato anche il bassista e il batterista di UZEDA.

9) Subito dopo registrazione e mix dell'album "Controverso" della GANG.. per la WEA.

10) Dall'apertura dello studio ad oggi ho prevalentemente lavorato al RED HOUSE RECORDINGS ad una cinquantina di dischi, molti dei quali hanno fatto la storia della scena underground italiana.

11) Nel maggio 2001 ho formato la mia nuova band RED HOUSE BLUES REVUE assieme a SEAN MEADOWS, ex chitarrista dei JUNE of '44 (grande band della scena indipendente americana con la quale ho avuto lonore di lavorare in due tour europei).

12) Nel 2002 Mix della colonna sonora di "My name is Tanino" di Paolo Virzì.

13) Accordo di management come produttore artistico con la METRATON società di PIETRO CAMONCHIA manager dei LINEA 77.

14) Nell'estate del 2005 ho iniziato a collaborare con ROB ELLIS ( batterista di PJ HARVEY nonché coproduttore di gran parte dei suoi dischi, arrangiatore d'archi per i PLACEBO, produttore di MARIANNE FAITHFULL e tanti altri) a due progetti: il primo a nome SPLEEN, suo progetto solista che comprende nella formazione anche CRISTIANO GODANO dei MARLENE KUNTZ e JOSH KLINGHOFFER chitarrista di P.J. HARVEY e cootitolare di un disco solista con JOHN FRUSCIANTE dei RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, il secondo alla produzione del secondo disco solista di CHARLOTTE HATHERLEY, ex chitarrista della band inglese ASH, uscita dal gruppo dopo lultimo tour degli U2 ai quali hanno aperto i concerti.

A quest'ultimo progetto ha partecipato in veste di coproduttore artistico insieme a ROB ELLIS anche ERIC DREW FELDMAN ( gia tastierista di CAPTAIN BEEFHEARTH, PERE UBU, PIXIES, nonche produttore di FRANK BLACK, deUS "In a bar under the sea", bassista nei tour di PJ HARVEY, solo per citare alcune delle sue collaborazioni).

Sempre per quest'ultimo progetto a settembre sono stato a Londra ad assistere FLOOD (U2, SMASHING PUMPKINS, DEPECHE MODE etc..) mentre mixava alcune canzoni dell'album.

Abbiamo finito le registrazioni dell'intero lavoro ai primi di Giugno e attualmente viene mixato a Londra da BEN HILLIER, produttore e mixer dell'ultimo disco dei BLUR, che è rimasto impressionato dai suoni ottenuti durante le sessions di registrazione.

15)Nel maggio 2006 STEVE ALBINI è venuto a registrare il nuovo disco di UZEDA al RED HOUSE RECORDINGS, si è trovato benissimo ed ha fatto un sacco di complimenti per la realizzazione dello studio e per la flessibilità e facilità con cui è possibile lavorarci, e questo, detto da uno che ha passato 5 mesi ad ABBEY ROAD lavorando con gli ex LED ZEPPELIN non è niente male!

16)Dal Febbraio 2007 tour di tre settimane con CHARLOTTE HATHERLEY in IRLANDA e UK finito il 6 marzo a LONDRA alla ISLINGTON ACADEMY con oltre 600 persone di cui almeno 300 tra giornalisti e addetti al settore discografico inglese.

Registrazioni delle prove per il tour al FORTRESS STUDIO di Londra, registrazione show alla BBC di Belfast e alla tv del MEDIA CENTRE del college di BLACKBURN.

17)Il 19 Marzo inizieranno le sessions di registrazione con NATHALIE NORDNES artista norvegese sotto la direzione artistica di ROB ELLIS

Il lavoro sarà diviso in due fasi:la prima sara interamente acustica con strumenti appartenenti alla tradizione della musica classica; la seconda sarà elettrica con la partecipazione di JOSH KLINGHOFFER.

18)Dal 23 Maggio si ripartirà in tour per OLANDA, BELGIO, GERMANIA e SVIZZERA. Poi subito dopo Tour in GIAPPONE.

ENGLISH VERSION:

1) Sound Engineer since 1992 after the degree in a two years school in Milan called E.M.I.T.

2) I started my activity as live sound engineer with indipendent bands based in Milan and Piacenza ( Carnival of fools and Lilith ex Not Moving).

3) In the 1994 I opened the SOUND MACHINE RECORDINGS my first little recording studio.

4) In the 1995 I decide to produce the THREE SECOND KISS from Bologna, and working live with them I meet UZEDA from Catania(Sicily), the first italian band signed from TOUCH & GO RECORDS from ..CHICAGO.., and I started to working live with them doing a lots of shows.

In the 1997 I was in a tour with UZEDA and SHELLAC( band ofSTEVE ALBINI sound engineer and producer of NIRVANA "In Utero", of P.J. HARVEY "Rid of me" and of JIMMY PAGE & ROBERT PLANT "Walking into Clarksdale" and PIXIES "Surfer rosa", only to name a few; and BOB WESTON another great sound engineer/producer for TOUCH & GO/QUARTERSTICK for bands like POLVO and RACHEL'S ) at the end of this tour STEVE recorded UZEDA's "Different section wires" giving me the opportunity to watch him working.

5) With UZEDA I did two U.S. tours giving me the opportunity to meet again STEVE and to know DON ZIENTARA ( the FUGAZI's recordist ) end to see their studios and how they work.

6) In the 1997 e 1998 I followed several tours in Europe and Italy as sound engineer with JUNE OF 44(2), DAVID GRUBBS(2), WILL HOLDHAM, BEDHEAD, BLONDE REDHEAD, MAN OR ASTROMAN, WARMERS.

7) In may of 1999, with my partener ANDREAS VENETIS, an appeciated sound engineer from Greek, I poned my new studio: The RED HOUSE RECORDINGS, specializing ourself to give an international great sound to the italian underground even and especially with the low budget available for this kind of bands. The RED HOUSE RECORDINGS become a guide line that changed the way to do records in Italy raising up their general level.

8) In the Septembre of 1999 I worked at the RED HOUSE RECORDINGS to the pre-production of "Aria" by GIANNA NANNINI with the bass player and drummer from UZEDA ( RAFFAELE GULISANO and DAVIDE OLIVIERI) and the ex-QUARTERED SHADOWS on the guitars TOMMASO MERLETTA .

9) Immediately after that I did the recordings and mixing of the album "Controverso" by GANG for the WEA.

10) Since the opening of the RED HOUSE RECORDINGS to this days I did more than 100 records and most of them did the story of the italian underground.

11) In May 2001 I formed my new band RED HOUSE BLUES REVUE with SEAN MEADOWS, ex guitar player and singer of JUNE of 44.

12) In 2002 I did the mix of the sountrack of the film "My name is Tanino" by Paolo Virzì.

13) In the Summer of 2005 I started working with ROB ELLIS ( P.J.HAVEY's drummer and coproducer in most of her records, strings arranger for PLACEBO and producer of MARIANNE FAITHFULL and many others) on two projects: the first one named SPLEEN and having in his lineup CRISTIANO GODANO from MARLENE KUNTZ and JOSH KLINGHOFFER the P.J. HARVEY's guitar player and coauthor of a solo album with JOHN FRUSCIANTE from RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS; the second one was the second solo album of CHARLOTTE HATHERLEY ex guitar player from ASH after their last tour supporting U2.

In this second project there was ERIC DREW FELDMAN ( keyboard player from CAPTAIN BEEFHEARTH, PERE UBU, PIXIES, producer of the first two records of FRANK BLACK, deUS "In a bar under the sea",bass player in some P.J. HARVEY's tours, only to name few of his collaborations ) coproducing with ROB ELLIS.

During the making of this project Ive been in London to watch FLOOD ( producer for U2, P.J. HARVEY.., PLACEBO, DEPECHE MODE and many many others) while he was mixing three songs of the album.

We finished the recordings sessions in the first days of June and than all the songs have been mixed in London by BEN HILLIER engineer/mixer and producer of the last BLUR album wich was impressed from the sound of the recordings.

15)In May 2006 STEVE ALBINI came to the RED HOUSE RECORDINGS to record and mix the new UZEDA's "Stella" for TOUCH & GO RECORDS. He said that He worked really well for the sound and the flexibility. You know something like that said by a man that worked with the ex-LED ZEPPELIN in ABBEY ROAD...its fucking great!!!

16)2007: From February the 15th up to March the 6th two weeks of UK and IRELAND TOUR plus rearshal recordings at FORTRESS STUDIO in LONDON with CHARLOTTE HATHERLEY.

During the tour we did Promo shows at BBC BELFAST and at THE MEDIA CENTRE BLACKBURN COLLEGE and the last show was at ISLINGTON ACADEMY in LONDON.

17)On March the 19th will start the recording sessions with NATHALIE NORDNES young singer/songwriter from NORWAY under the artistic production of ROB ELLIS

The recordings sessions will be divided in two phases: The first one will be entirely acoustic with instrument of the classic and medieval tradition; The second one will be electric with gests like JOSH KLINGHOFFER.

18)From May the 23rd again on tour with CHARLOTTE HATHERLY in NETHERLANDS, BELGIUM, GERMANY and SWITZERLAND. And then a JAPAN TOUR.

OF COURSE I CAN WORK IN EVERY STUDIO AND/OR OUTSIDE ITALY AND DO LIVE SHOWS OR TOURS
