Bio:

Since 1983, roc has become one of the resurgent key figures of the UK scene. Learning from the greats, local and worldwide, he's become one of the most popular hiphop DJ'S in the midlands. Going throught the ranks of bedroom, pirate and club and scratch deejay, a brilliant all rounder. Being a resident at popular clubs such as BLUE NOTE, CARGO, MEDICINE, THE FACTORY. Recent years playing and hosting alongside the likes of MR THING, SHORTEE BLITZ, DJ SUPREME(HIJACK), DJ PREMIER, JERU, BIG DADDY KANE, CASHMONEY, STEVE D, KRS ONE, DJ WOODY, DWELE and RAPSCALLION, also an DMC UK HEAT finalist. In 1999 roc1 founded turntablist group" A Few good men" aka himself, DJ RHIZE, PSYKHOMANTUS and EDOUBLED which established themselves across the whole midlands scene. Most will know him from successful club nights such as SUBSTANCE, AMPLIFIED and LOVE THE LIFE. In 2008 ROC joined the DONUTS collective, DJ's PSYCHOMANTUS and LOOBY, east midlands hiphop and funk stalwarts Roc1 has been also featured on BIG WEEKEND/ONE WORLD on RADIO1, 1XTRA, GALAXY providing mixes and live interviews. His currently presenting a new radio show called" MOMENTUM" on west midlands community station SWITCH 107.5fm. Roc is also the founder of the "TRUSCHOOLANTICS" project which is a team of artists who currently tour with the ethos" Replenishing the essence of hiphop" founded in 2002. More recently a part of RAWGANICS which are two producers, DENZY formerly of LIVIN PROOF and PROVINCE. Also there's a forthcoming release on the PERCY FILTH EP "ELBOW GREASE" out 09 featuring JUICE ALEEM, MADFLOW and LOTEK. Roc has also been involved in corporate workshops and creative projects with the MINISTRY OF SOUND, BBC, COCA COLA & DIESEL. A stalwart-champion of the birmingham and midlands, who's gives out a real hiphop energy when he's on stage...and gives you exactly what it says on the tin! 100% proof! ..
