SABO is a Dj internationally known to produce a rhythmic combination of House, Latin, Brazilian, Afrobeat, Disco, Reggae, Cumbia, Dub, Miami Bass, Hip Hop, and Tropical Bass. For 14 years SABO has been delivering these spicy beats in places like the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Spain, Canada, Colombia, Austria, Mexico, Kosovo, France, Turkey, Los Angeles, Miami, Atlanta, and his home base of New York City. For his international flavor, SABO was nominated in 2006 to URB's 'Next 100'; an American based music magazine devoted to electronic music, hip hop and urban lifestyle and culture.He has also been featured and mentioned on popular websites and in magazines like Rolling Stone, The Fader, XLR8R, Frank 151, Groovailizacion, Mundovibe, RE:UP, Ghetto BassQuake. Born and raised right outside of Philadelphia, SABO's international influence kicked off at an early age from a trip to Spain, and has since flourished into a life's work of djing, remixing, and producing. A native of New York City for the last 13 years, SABO has enriched his community by teaching at the Scratch DJ Academy and managing the Lower Eastside's staple record store, Turntable Lab. For the last eleven years SABO has been a special guest DJ at Turntables on the Hudson and has DJ residencies at Bembe, The Standard Hotel, and Nublu. He has also performed around the city at special events and attractions like The Puma City World Cup Festival, the Museum Of Modern Art, The Guggenheim Museum, The Cooper Hewitt Design Museum, The Soho Bloomingdales Store Grand Opening, and the Museum of Natural History. Nationally, SABO has performed at 'A' list events like the 2009 Huffington Post's Inauguration Ball in DC for President Obama; performing alongside world renowned artists like Sting, Cheryl Crow, and Will I am. Others include the Winter Music Conference in Miami and the annual Do-Over Party in L.A. Internationally he's been found performing at events like the Beastie Boys release party of their 'Sounds of Science' anthology in France, the Manifesta Film Festival and the Elektronikaldia Music Festival in Spain, and the grand opening of one of Istanbul's hottest clubs El Beso. SABO has also opened for international artist like the Yerba Buena, Brazilian Girls, Antibalas, The Pimps of Joytime, Forro in the Dark, Chico Mann, Si*Se, The Herbaliser, and Kokolo Afrobeat Orchestra. As a producer for the last seven years, SABO established his own label, Sol*Selectas, where he has released ten vinyl Eps, two 12" EPs on DJ Nickodemus' Wonderwheel Recordings, a 6 song EP on Bersa Discos, and a full album co produced by Zeb, called "Global Warmbeats" on Irma Records, out of Italy in 2008. He has remixed tracks for artist and DJs like J-Boogie, Nickodemus, The Kokolo Afrobeat Orchestra, Los Monos, Pacha Massive Sound System, Balkan Beat Box, Los Empresarios, and DJ Sun. You can find SABO's music playing on popular internet radio stations like Beats & Rhythms 91.5, a free live monthly show called Mo'Glo', the SABO station on Pandora, Tunisie24urban, Baie Des Anges Clubbing and Radio Flamclub.
