About me:
The Dragon Bar was started in 1999 as a breeding ground for artists and musicians. It was long regarded as a place of peace and love and was down to earth to say the least- try getting out of our sofas!! It was designed in a style that was copied time and time again in the area and beyond. The "This Way Up" gallery that ran upstairs had a street art focus but we had shows from every aspect of the art world. The music policy and scene always had a strong following with legendary nights from ALL manner of different bands and dj's over the years. The bar in it's old location ceased trading in March 2008 due to the building bein taken back to be re-developed much to the distress of everyone involved. That was then.....we acquired the site of the legendary "Old Spiral" and have been working on it for a while now......expect completion and opening parties soon. The new site is on the corner of......and.......Find out. The new restaurant and bar will be a dramatic difference to our last london bar and fall more into the style of the one we have run in Hastings for the last 4 or 5 years. It will be an older, more civilised sort of place serving up fantastic food and drink all through the day. We look forward to seing you soon.

Come join us for the first Deviation session of 2009. The best midweek session in London returns.
After Benji B's marathon 5 hour set in December, he welcomes Heavyweight Kode 9 as special guest to celebrate the first session of the year.
Kode 9 is one of the most influential DJs in the UK right now. As an artist he has issued numerous groundbreaking singles on Aphex Twin’s Rephlex imprint, outlets like Tempa, and his very own Hyperdub label, the home of his critically acclaimed 2006 debut album with The Spaceape, Memories of the Future. As the founder of Hyperdub, he has cultivated a roster that includes quality music as varied as Samiyam and Burial. We know that Kode has been itching to play at Deviation for some time, so expect a freestyle set to remember.

DEVIATION CHRISTMAS SPECIAL - WEDNESDAY 3RD DECEMBER 2008
Come join us for the last Deviation session of 2008. Kick the festivities off early with us at the best midweek session in London. Judging from last year's Christmas party its gonna get very messy and very rammed, so get there early with your party hat on.
There will be free goodies for the first 50 people to arrive, and to celebrate an amazing year resident DJ Benji B will be playing a 5 hour marathon set with MC Judah holding down mic duties as usual.
