Platinum Music Artist, Carmit Bachar, Leaves Pussycat Dolls Group for ‘The Zodiac Show’

Vocalist of the Pussycat Dolls, Carmit Bachar, transitions from Multi-Platinum Music Group to pursue Entrepreneurship in Theatrical Production (Hollywood, CA)

Carmit Bachar, known as the only original Pussycat Doll and one of the main vocalists along with Nicole Scherzinger and Melody Thorton, has recently departed from the group to spearhead her entrepreneurial vision ‘The Zodiac Show’. The Zodiac Show is a one hour live concert-style theatrical event driven by music, celebrity, and multifaceted new talent. Bachar will host a private entertainment industry showing on September 9th at 10:30PM (PST) at the legendary Avalon Theater in Hollywood.

Carmit Bachar teamed up with longtime friend, and Zodiac co-founder, Lee Cherry, to form the production company, Freedom Party Entertainment, which produces The Zodiac Show. This show has been running since 2002 within an elite circle and is now entering main stream. “I truly miss the girls but this has been a vision of mine for the last seven years and now it’s finally going to the big screen.It’s the next evolution of music and performance. I hope the Pussycat Dolls have a reunion one day and I'd totally perform with them again, ” says Bachar.

Bachar and Cherry are known for bringing energy and spontaneity to the stage with original music and choreography, that walks the line between the avant-garde and commercial, bringing trend-setting talent to the public in raw form. Notable names from past shows include Grammy winner Macy Gray, Grammy nominated Vikter Duplaix, and burlesque legend Dita Von Teese. Names from the upcoming show include Broadway star Alisan Porter (Curly Sue), celebrity choreographer Brian Friedman (So You Think You Can Dance, X-factor), and music artist Ty Taylor (Rock Star:INXS Finalist).

From the original Pussycat Dolls cabaret act that was formed in 1995 and known as the “Redhead”, Carmit felt it was time to follow the path to expand and add a producer’s hat. “Some viewers consider this the ‘Rock and Roll’ version of Cirque Du Soleil but it is a music driven theatre show with specialty acts filled with incredible talent. The Zodiac Show is also platform for music artists to launch their career including my solo album in the near future, ” comments Bachar. Each show is unique and corresponds with a universal theme expressed in each zodiac sign. The live stage show includes both original and covered material, celebrity and emerging artists, the house band and dancers, as well as specialty acts such as body painting, aerial and fire. Now they are taking it one step further with plans to bring The Zodiac Show to Las Vegas and television.
