  • Bio

Socially conscious fueled rock is Emit. Their sophomore album on the verge of releasing in the summer of 2010, Emit is preparing for support with a regional tour. Their edgy and break loose stage presence continuously entrances their audiences. Comprised of cousins, Brian and Caleb Collins with the beat driven drummer Austin Brimacombe and riff oriented keyboardist Benjamin Killebrew have been cranking out the tunes for over six years. Brian, Caleb and Austin have been the key members since they were young teenagers. They hit the streets playing at the hottest and most visible venues at an early age, and now with years of stage presence have given rise to a rock act any audience gravitates towards. Their tight knit synchronization is evinced by their combined efforts in playing and writing their music. Emit has proven to be progressively maturing all along their six year history. Each of the musicians have studied and prepared by being musically trained at the most respectable colleges around today. Each of Emit’s members plays various instruments and is not shy to showcase their natural powerhouse in rocking their musical sets. Emit’s ability to craft their songs solidly on music theory that many other bands have been enraptured by their craftsmanship. Cutting their teeth by opening for many of the top regional acts, they have emerged as the band that calls them to be sought out. Emit has taken their energy-charged live show all over sharing the stage with regional acts such as Analog Rebellion (formerly Play Radio Play), The Non, The Uglysuit, Vannadine, Eden Sharmaine, Mayola, Fires of Atlas, Radial Angel, Hollow, and The Noise FM. The coming year will find Emit playing regionally more as well as sneaking in as much studio time as possible to lay down tracks for a new EP. Made-for-radio tracks like "Entrepreneur", "Feels Like a Heart Attack", and "Time to Make a Move", demonstrate Emit's ability to write captivating hooks and sing-along melodies. The fans are easily gained by their high energy and ability to draw audiences into their show; they are a force to be reckoned with. Visit Emit's Sonicbids - www.sonicbids.com/emit
