.. To tell the truth, Farsight has no precise starting date. Actually the band is more of an evolution of ideas over the years. It is not simply a group of "three friends wanting to tour the world in a band" but much more. In fact, after several changes of members since 2005, the solid formation of the band have been really completed on Decembre 2006 with Maryse St-Onge on vocals, Sylvain Marquis on guitars, Maxime Roussel on bass, P-a Tremblay on keyboards, and Kim Bouliane on drums. .... The band has acquired a great range of influence from different music genres. Going to classical influences with melodic power metal riffs and complex progressive rhythms. These are just a few examples of the type of music Farsight is strongly comprised of. .... The main goal of Farsight is to make people feel as captivated by our songs and lyrics as we do when we listen to influences such as Angra, Sonata Arctica, Kamelot, Blind Guardian, Stratovarius, Symphony X, and Dream Theater. .... Over the past few years, Farsight has performed a lot of live shows, and has grown musically and in terms of support. Stratovarius' opening act was one of the best shows performed so far and one thing is sure; it will not be the last. In fact, the association with Capitale Du Metal, one of the most influential promoters in Québec City, will make the band more and more famous throughout years to come.
