.. .. .. For several years now Fausto has been on the top of the international harddancescene. Over twenty years ago a phenomenon called 'music' cast a spell on him which has taken Fausto to the most diverse places on this planet. Dancefloors of Thailand's fullmoon parties, the Amsterdam ArenA (Sensation Black), the Monday Cruise Bar in Sweden, Dance Valley Miami Edition at the Winter Conference and Ibiza's most renowned clubs (Amnesia, The Ku, Space, Eden) were filled and put upside down by Fausto while his reputation was growing on him with every gig he played. After several foreign adventures, also his homecountry of Holland started to spot the abilities of the Dutchman with Italian roots. Amsterdam's longest running clubnight High Quality offered him a residency and all what happened afterwards is history. Mystery Land,Sensation Black, Qlimax, In Qontrol, Q-Base, Dance Valley, Hard Bass, Decibel, Impulz Outdoor & Indoor, Ground Zero, HQ XL, Loveparade ‘08, Pendragon, Tidy Weekender, Goodgreef, 4 Elements, Q-Dance Worldtour Australia and Multigroove are just a small part of Fausto's impressive Dutch resume and the end is nowhere near yet. One of the most recent highlights was Fausto's closing set at the main stage of the world's biggest trance event Trance Energy. He is even considered to be the first Dutch DJ to ever headline every single major festival and indoorevent in The Netherlands. With his unique gift to adapt to almost any audience, Fausto has become a true crowd-puller. The way he mixes and mashes up trance, hardtrance, hardstyle, techno, electro, techtrance and harddance has made Fausto a DJ who can be put on almost any stage of any party and still gets away with anything he plays. Next to that, his astonishing charisma and his endless enthusiasm have become a trademark with which he can make the crowd go wild in extreme euphoria. .. .. .. Fausto has had the honor to compile several compilations throughout the years. In chronological order: 'New Sounds – Progressive', 'New Sounds – Harddance', 'HQ presents DJ Fausto', 'TX 2: Harddance mixed live by DJ Fausto' (2 disc), 'HQ On Tour – The Matrixx Edition' and of course the ‘DefQon1 – 2009’ album. .. .. .. During his daily life, Fausto has been running his Excessive Records label for quite some time now and producing music has also become one of his daily routines. Excessive has released some well-known hitrecords like 'Fausto & Tommy Pulse – Pirates' and ‘Fausto – Raise Up’. His latest massive hitrecord was released on Marco V’s In Charge label; ‘Fausto – Lupara’ was marked a ‘future classic’ by Marco himself. Other tracks such as ‘Get Low’, ‘U Turn’ and ‘Melancholica’ have just been released or will be out in the open within the near future. Also a new collaboration has just been finished, so watch out for Fausto, Thilo & Evanti’s ‘Short Fuse’. .. .. ...... ......

If you want to combine the meanings 'festival', 'harder styles', 'amazing weather' and 'the time of your life', you just have to say two words: DefQon 1! And what a time I had playing the Mainstage of the biggest harder styles festival. Dropping the newest harddancebeats and watching over 10,000 people going wild, it was an experience I won't forget. We were lucky that Saturday the 13th of June would turn out to be one of the brightest and warmest days until now, it created the ultimate festivalfeeling. I was really impressed when I entered the festivalsite. I had never been to DefQon1 before and eventhough I'm in the extremely lucky position to being used to seeing and playing big stages, this Mainstage was truly overwhelming. I saw a huge dragon rising up out of the lake, its two heads were equipped with pulsating eyes and its chest looked like a gigantic lightshow. As you will understand, I absolutely loved to play my music in front of you all and I would like to thank everyone for their support. Next to playing this massive event, I got to compile and mix one out of four cds of the official DefQon1 2009 compilation. I have mixed 22 of today's best tracks into a pounding and exciting mix, so prepare yourself for the roughest techtrance, the most euphoric hardtrance and the nastiest harddance there is when you insert my disc into your cd player. All I would like to say is: enjoy! ..
