    Described recently as 'one of Wales' most talented young singer songwriters' by Cardiff Life magazine, emerging solo artist ffred jones will be launching his first full-length album, 'The Welsh Whiskey Society' June 1st 2011. The first single from the album 'Lions In The Dark' will be avaiable on itunes on April 1st. Following the success of ffred's second EP 'Feed the Fire' launched in March this year, ffred has established a strong profile across Wales. As well as becoming a regular on the Radio Wales play list, ffred has played a number of live radio sets including on the popular Jamie and Louise daytime chat show and also on Alan Thompson's evening show. ffred has also featured a number of times on Bethan Elfyn's Radio 1 Introducing show. ffred has achieved an impressive level of press coverage this year at a local and national level, including: Acoustic Magazine; Plugged In magazine; Western Mail; Miniature Music Press; Buzz Magazine; and New Sound Wales. ffred is an accomplished live performer and regularly gigs around south Wales, Bristol, Bath and London. This year he has supported the likes of Radio 6 championed 'Paper Aeroplanes' as well Amy Wadge and Jonathan Powell. ffred has also played a number of festivals including Swn Fest, Woolfire Festival, Tenby Folk Festival and Priston Folk Festival. In order to promote his EP more widely last year, ffred undertook the innovative approach of a 'Seaside Busking Tour', visiting seaside towns across Wales and busking to raise money for Ty Hafan Children's Hospice (visit http://ffredjones.blogspot.com/ for more information).

    Hey its Sem. Thought I would see how you are. Our myspace is not broked anymore :) The last few days have been a nightmare. Just wanted to let you know if you didn't get my last message that we have a new single coming out next Spring, and if you haven't seen yet we have a new website.

    Boston is good, probably more like we're you're from than TN but yeah, some wicked players down there. I drove from Boston to Miami recently, pretty amazing how it goes from lots of variety and alternative musically to nearly all country in the southern states... then when you get to southern Florida it turns back into the North!
