Bio:

Fortay lyrically and physically represents the lifestyle of the surroundings around him. Coming from The city of Blacktown in West Sydney Fortay Started off performing at open mics and mc battles, competing in nearly every major mc battle in Sydney between 2002-2006. From his start at the weekly night nufunc @ greenwood hotel to double beef battles around Sydney, out for fame battle for supremacy @ the metro and candys apartment, purebred battleacts nights ,Australian freestyle championship (AFC), freestyle flow comp, The battle nights @ goodbar, shoreshocked, empire hip hop nights @ metropolis, park jam @ Luna park plus more. Fortay performed for the TV show “fat pizza live” which was filmed in front of a live studio audience for live TV on sbs which was his first legit pay check . Fortay performed his first live stage show dec 05 @ Lansdowne hotel. Since then has performed numerous shows Australia wide along side the creme of the crop of Australian hip hop artists. He has supported international acts such as Redman and Method man, M.O.P, Dj Scratch, B.o.B, Dj Ca$h money, bone thugs & harmony, celph titled & apathy and necro. Fortay worked with the label Smooth operator records and released the 2148 mixtape vol 1 in 06 the 2148 mixtape vol 2 in 08 and has a 3rd and 4th mixtape ready to be released in 2010 aswell as the “Illegal life” mixtape and the "Way 2 west" mixtape with Hed UBD.. The finishing touches are being put on the ”Illegal life” album with UBD and Tofurious and the solo album “Fortified” which will be out mid 2010 featuring UBD, Tofurious, Redbak, Defiant, Losty, Sky High, Torcha, Tyree(smash proof), Anecdote, and Daz dillenger(The dogg Pound) with production from Defiant, B-don, Experts(U.S), A.$.K and L.T (Snoops dj).
