[About Free Disco]
Hailing from Japan Free Disco moved to London and brought with him an ear for deep music and now based in London. You may have come across his works on New York's Rong Music and London's Bear Funk and Electric Minds. His records have been played by many artists including David Mancuso, Andrew Weatherall, In Flagranti, Faze Action, Yam WHo?, Stevie Koety, Richard Sen, Illija Rudman, Felix Dickinson, Max Essa, Nathan Gregory Wilkins and many other artists.Free Disco is also an accomplished DJ having played in many clubs in Japan, Spain, Portugal, and UK. Free Disco has launched his own label STRANGE DESIRE RECORDINGS in 2010 and the first single will be available on May 2010 with a strictly limited vinyl release of just 250 copies. In a genre that seems to thrive on re-edits, It's refreshing to find a label dedicated to releasing only original disco and boogie, and an artist with a tendency to play all the instruments himself - perhaps even all at the same time.
