    Karen hails from the artistic city of Adelaide, South Australia. From the age of 6, Karen was winning Young Composers Awards for her piano compositions. Writing her first song at the age of 12, she has since won awards for her singing and her songs worldwide, including the London International Song Contest with 'Flame'. Once signed to Polydor Records with her band Eve, Karen's song 'What A Lover' won a SAMIA award for most popular new release. Having travelled and performed widely around Australia and on popular television institutions such as MTV and Hey Hey It's Saturday, Karen made the move to London.Singing and writing music is her love, passion and sole motivation. Karen has been compared to artists such as Kate Bush, Joni Mitchell, Tori Amos, Enya and K.D. Lang, although her style is distinctly her own. She has performed with some of Australia's biggest acts such as John Farnham, Skyhooks and Cold Chisel. Karen's band consists of Nick Allen on Cello, Jo Warren on piano, Mike Forde on drums, Bridget Rattigan on flute and guitar and Will Lester on backing vocals. The band also performs in smaller ensembles. Latest album: Metamorphosis. Inspired by the butterfly, Metamorphosis is a metaphor of the human potential to transcend self-imposed limits, with songs about love, life & hope. A spiritual and contemporary music, the songs shine a clear light of hope and resonate in the darkest places of the psyche. Karen's pure voice soars delicately and powerfully over rich organic soundscapes including piano, strings, percussion and lush backing vocals. Karen's music has been endorsed by legendary British producer Robin Millar (Sade, Fine Young Cannibals etc.). Millar recognised the music's originality and encouraged Karen to produce the album herself. Metamorphosis is Karen's first self-produced album.
