"Grant Sabin is a unique, talented Blues prodigy. He is steeped in traditional Blues, well beyond his years." Rick Lewis (103.5 The Fox, Denver) <a"Sabin's musical delivery serves as strong reminders that playing from the heart is clearly an innate process for some folks. He is one of those rare souls who "just has it". His eclectic approach to the blues/folk/rock spectrum is honest and convincing. Its great to see such passion and talent in young musicians. He is quickly on the path to becoming a musical force." Aaron Moreland (Guitar Player, Moreland and Arbuckle) <a"Grant Sabin plays blues at Silver Moon" Bend seems to keep the flame burning for gritty, throwback blues heavy with slide guitars and stomping boots. So perhaps young Grant Sabin, the slide/harmonica player from Colorado, will find fertile ground here this week, when he plays two shows in Bend. On Saturday, Sabin will fill Silver Moon Brewing & Taproom with his fiery sound, which combines the traditional blues of legends like Son House with the modern urgency of punk rock. His voice is a scratchy, froggy thing that's perfect for the genre. Bend Bulletin Bend, OR <aTonight: Grant Sabin at the Larimer Lounge "Colorado Springs' slide guitar-playing bluesman Grant Sabin is truly a throwback. The multi-instrumentalist's baby face contradicts both his gruff voice and his repertoire, which includes not only his own modern work, but tributes to Son House and Jimi Hendrix, as well. Heading northwest for a week-long tour beginning tomorrow, Sabin and his backing band, the Revelators, first stop by the Larimer Lounge tonight with fellow locals Interstate Stash Express and Feral Blue." Bio:

Grant Sabin is a slide guitar/harmonica/vocals/stomp box player from Colorado Springs Colorado. Many have said his style is comparable to that of John Hammond, Son House, and Tom Waits, but with a youthfull twist of energy seen more in rock and roll and thrash-grass bands. Grant put out a solo album in 2007 entitled Listen and Learn and later that year released a limited number of EPs called "The Smoke EP" with his first version of The Revelators featuring Andrew Koken on Bass and Lucian Rowland on the Mandolin. In 2008 Grant and Andrew recorded "Cold Day in Hell" with producers John Dehoyos and Phillip Rayl. After 3 failed attempts of accurately representing their live sound on an album Grant and Andrew tapped into new energy in Hans Schopen, a Heavy Metal drummer from Maui, Hawaii. They put Hans behind a 5 piece jazz kit and the result is what is now known as Grant Sabin and the Revelators. The group is now working on an experimental pseudo-live album with Ian Gott and Funny Bunny Records. Grant's trio is a force to be reckoned with; however his solo work which he is still very much devoted to seems to be coming back more frequently by popular demand.
