That's right, after months of missed deadlines and false starts we finally got it together (along with our good friend's Henry and Nico) and our CD is DONE. We're super double happy with how it looks and sounds, and we hope you dig it too!
Here's the lowdown:
8 track mini album OUT NOW!!! Pay For The Piano Recordings. Buy it now.
Songs:
1. Buy the Ticket, Take the Ride 2. Where the Ducks Sleep 3. The New Positive 4. Something You'll Never See 5. Girl Scouts of Japan 6. Always One In 7. Dale Nixon 8. Punks in the Gym '85
Recording done. Everyone is happy. We'll be changing the 'listen only' track every few weeks, so you should have chance to listen to the whole album by the time it comes out. Speaking of which, May 11th is the date! Party time.
Last week we FINALLY got round to recording. We spent two days in Jamie's kitchen, aided by Henry 'The Rock Button' Carden (thanks!) and played 8 of our songs live. So far so good. We are recording the vocals when Graham is back from looking at Lightening Bolt in Barcelona. Then Christmas cake and port. Then back to making rock history. Hopefully Nico Taylor (Just About Done/Move Girl Move) is designing the artwork; the opportunity for pop-giants name-drops continues...
I feel like we should let you know what's happening, just in case you think we're being lazy good-for-nothings...
:: We have a new singer/bassist, he is called Graham and he is a good thing.
:: We have 5.5 songs and we are very happy with them so far.
:: Gig! July 4th or something, at Dr. Browns. Looks like it could probably be dead fun.
:: As soon as we've done the said gig we will be recording a couple of our songs...I am particularly excited about this bit because recording music is what I like doing best.
:: And we have a dog in a tree, thanks to our friend Rich.
That is all for now. It's alright this blogging thing like.
