Ladies and gentlemen, I have traveled the world over in the past decade and to try summing up my experiences in this profile is impossible. However, I would like to render a brief peek into my time and why I feel that mankind is in dire need of unity. The purpose of this slide is to show how the world is seen from the angle of a fine artist like myself with hopes to enlighten, educate and change the way you view artists and their artwork. Assembling footage of this magnitude and content takes YEARS. Come see why I paint what I paint with the passion and pain that I pour onto the canvas from the rage within! Come see how I have made an attempt to use my brush as an instrument to convey love and peace throughout infinate facets and genres. HAMLETTINTERNATIONAL took a moment to compile countless images and although there may be a wealth of visual information here, there are still hundreds of images that I am unable to show. MISSION: To convey unity through FINE-ART. Expressing that in some way, all of mankind are artists. HAMLETTINTERNATIONAL are driven visionaries set forth to approach the world using FINE-ART as a vehicle to bridge the gap of merely viewing FINE-ART, to living and breathing FINE-ART. HAMLETTINTERNATIONAL is adamant about diminishing the term, "starving artist" altogether. To live and breathe FINE-ART, society must realize that FINE-ART is alive and being created by living artists!


BIO: David Hamlett, a native Washingtonian, became aware of his incredible artistic ability at a very early age. Born the middle child to a single mother, Hamlett was able to channel his inner concerns by drawing.

Hamlett first noticed his gift in the second grade at Kenilworth Elementary School in Washington, D.C. The class assignment was to color a drawing of Peter Pan. Taking this assignment one step further, Hamlett decided to draw the character on his own before starting to color the character. Upon completion, the teacher and students stood marveled at the miraculous resemblance. This was the start of countless drawing, coloring and poster contests for a young Hamlett.

After satisfying audition and portfolio requirements, Hamlett was admitted into the Duke Ellington School of the Arts. This school is geared toward the enhancement of specific talents each student portrayed. Hamlett was accepted into the fine arts program for three years.
Noted high school classmates; (Comedian/Actor) Dave Chappelle, "THE CHAPPELLE SHOW" (Actor) Dartanyan Edmunds, (Movie) "DELIVER US FROM EVA" (Actor)Lamman Rucker, (Movie) "WHY DID I GET MARRIED" and many more.

Upon graduation, Hamlett enrolled into the Maryland College of Art and Design where he won Honorable Mention and other achievements. This proved to be uninspiring for Hamlett, who then enlisted into the United States Navy as an apprentice Illustrator/Draftsman. During his three year enlistment, Hamlett attained numerous achievements and awards. Including being named Art Editor/Director for the USS TRIPOLI'S Cruise Book and cash rewards. Hamlett also was decorated with the Combat Action Ribbon, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Southwest Service Medal(2 bronze stars), Seaservice Deployment Ribbon(2 awards), National Defense Service Medal, Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon and a host of other awards.

Hamlett has spent the past fifteen years touring the globe for an understanding from HIS perspective of not only fine art, but HUMANITY. Some of the places Hamlett toured has been the Phillipines, Tijuana Mexico, Bahrain Saudi Arabia, Santestephano/Lamodelina Italy, Jabal Ali, Singapore Maylaysia, North Shore Oahu Hawaii, Samalia/Mogadishu Africa, Las Angeles CA., Miami FL., Chicago/Great Lakes Illinois, Abu Dhabi/Dubai United Arab Emirates and the list goes on.

Hamlett has accompanied and befriended reputable and highly influential individuals such as Honorable Heads of State and Incumbents or holders of ecclesiastical benefice. George Bush Senior, Bill Clinton, Priminister Arafat. Colin Powell, Madeline Albright, Warren Christopher, Acting Deputy Secretary Armitage of the Department of State and Staff. Music Moguls, Top Radio Station Personalities, Top regional club owners, Label Reps(Interscope, Geffen, Def Jam, Sony Syndicated Radio, etc.), countless professional athletes and a myriad of surrounding attributes.

Today, Hamlett continues to hone his craft. Some of Hamlett's clientelle includes Recording Label Executives, Grammy Award Winners, Entreprenuers, Achievers in Medicine, Film, Politics, Sports and a host of influential icons, establishments and events.

I am a musician... a singer/songwriter. Lately things have been rough... as our industry is very tough, much like yours. So much drama and BS and crap.... and all I want to do is write songs and sing and get my name out there. So many gatekeepers slam doors.. yet I march on and on and on... knowing my calling.. what I was born for... to sing, to write. I read what you had written about your sacrafices and it is so comforting to know that there are others out there like me who will sleep on floors and eat from the food court 'end of the day' stuff... I was laughing at that. I thought I was the only one who ever did that kind of stuff!
