.. .... .. ...... ..........Band Name : Hearts On Fire.... ..........Nationality : Malaysian.... ..........Music Concept : Progressive Power Metal.... ..........Activity : In Progress Of Recording Our 1st Full Length Album...Stay Tuned!!.... ......History : - The band was formed around June 1996 with the name ‘Hyper Active’ & were heavily influenced by grunge bands such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilot, Green Day etc… / At that time, only consist of 3 person which are Alfian (Guitar & Vocals), Mohairi (Bass & Backing Vocals) & Faizul (Drums) / The band change direction & line up on august 1997, which are Alfian (Guitar & Vocals), Mohairi (Bass & Backing Vocals), Abot (Lead Guitar & backing Vocals) & Fariz (Drums)…mainly Influenced by Heavy Metal band such as Metallica, Helloween, Blind Guardian, Megadeth etc…The band changed the name to ‘Hyper Detergent’ / Again the band change direction & several line up changes on March 1998 due to Abot & Alfian had to leave the band. Abot & Alfian were straight away replaced by Kelvyn & Harris. Again the band changed their name to ‘Hearts On Fire’ (permanently). Heavily influenced by Progressive Metal & Power Metal bands such as Dream Theater, Kamelot, Pain Of Salvation, Sonata Artica, Rhapsody, Luca Turilli, Symphony X, Evergrey, Heavenly, Blind Guardian, Stratovarious etc… / The band joined the Yamaha Asian Beat Band Alert in 2001 and got 4th place. Kelvyn got the ‘Best Guitarist Award’ & Fariz got the ‘Best Drummer Award’ / Again Hearts On Fire joined the Yamaha Asian Beat Band Alert 2002 & got the 3rd place. Fariz again being awarded with the ‘Best Drummer Award’ / In the early March of 2005, Mohairi left Hearts On Fire due to his personal reason & the band again struggling in pain to find for his replacement. After 2 months of auditioning some bassist, the band announced Jacko - A Six Stringed Prog Metal Bass Grinder as their newest official member. / Hearts On Fire again joined the Yamaha Asian Beat Band Alert 2005 & got themselves 2nd place with both Fariz & Iskandar as the winner for the individual Best Drummer & Best Keyboardist Awards, & a week later, they joined the Recharge Jams band competition & got themselves the 1st place (Champion). But sadly however, the Yamaha Asian Beat Band Alert 2005 was the last performance for Ajin, as he has made up he's mind to part ways with the band due to some personal reasons. Hearts On Fire would like to wish him all the best in all of his future undertakings. As of current, Hearts On Fire are now made of 5 piece musician. / Conducted guitar clinic & drum clinic in Penang & Sg Petani..... ..
