    In 2008 the group released a 5 track E.P entitled 'Welcome to the Regime' on the then popular social network MySpace. This created an instant buzz around the group with their MySpace friends rapidly growing to 24,000. Their songs on the MySpace playlists received over a million plays in total putting the group in the top 10 of the MySpace U.K hip-hop, Rap and R&B chart. In December 2009 Hood G officially arrived on the scene with the release of their 1st official mixtape 'We Run LDN' on the Grimedaily.com platform receiving over a 1000 downloads in its 1st week. A feat described by Posty Co founder of grime daily as being amazing considering Hood G are a relatively new outfit in the game. The release of the mixtape was accompanied by a 1week takeover on the Grimedaily page releasing three street videos which all together received over 100,000 views on YouTube, Grimedaily and WorldstarHip-hop collectively. Hood G will be releasing their debut album 'Still Glistening' in the first quater of 2012. An official date has not been released. Glistening is the first single from the Album. It was released on 12 June 2011 as digital download on Itunes. The single features all members of the group. A music Video was made for the single and premiered on Hood G's YouTube page. The Video went on to enjoy great success on mainstream T.V Debuting on Kiss Breaking beats, enjoying constant rotation on Channel Aka and Flava etc. The song and Video also recieved great reviews from several online magazines including Fame Magazine. On the Back of the success of Glistening the group realesed a gritty street single "We Run LDN" for free download to cater for their street fans. The audaciously titled song caused a stir on several online underground platforms including Worldstar Hiphop where it recieved over 20,000 views. The promotional campaign for "We Run LDN" is ongoing and would be followed by the groups second official single and the release of the "Still Glistening" LP. Bio

Hood G Biography Hood G was founded in 2006 in the heart of London by Don SLG the leader of the group. The Group consists of 3 members, 2 male rappers and a female singer. The members of the group are Don SLG, Alisha and Blacks. All members of the group are Londoners raised in the capital. In 2005 after escaping a jail sentence group leader Don SLG decided to make a difference by breaking out of the stereo types facing most young black males growing up in Northwest London. The Don was deeply concerned with how he had been affected by the social climate he had grown up in. He had no positive role models; all the adults he knew growing up seem to get ahead by selling drugs, robberies or fraud. He decided to stand in the gap and be a better role model. It is at this point that he discovered his God given talents for making music. Alisha aka 1st Lady is the R&B Singer in the group. Alisha has been involved with music almost all her life and started music lessons at the age of eight. She recalls her very 1st music influence as R&B singing sensation Aaliyah. “I always used to watch her and try copy her moves, she moved effortlessly and sang beautifully at the same time. I wanted to be her when I grew older”. Up until Don’s approach Alisha had nearly giving up on her music dreams citing the lack of opportunity in the U.K for R&B singers as the reason. However, the 1st Lady has found a new lease of life and is ready to take the U.K R&B scene by storm. Blacks is the youngest member of the group and by his own admission the ‘flyest’. Before his affiliation with Hood G young blacks had already been heating up the streets of East London. “I started rapping as a hobby during the summertime battling the older boys for street credibility. Then all of a sudden my name started getting around, everywhere I went peeps ask me to spit some lines. So I thought ‘yeah boy’ I am on this rap ting and started performing at talent shows with my friends.” It is at this point that he met Don; the rest as they say was history.
