From the very first moments in her life, Ilse discovered magic in music and music in life. She got hypnotized, fell deeply in love, surrendered and devoted her life to the world of sounds, melodies and harmonies. Instantaneously a song would capture her soul and take over her mind. She would find no peace until she listened to it over and over again analyzing its structure to understand the formula behind it. Looking for a fresh sound, the Belgian Singer/Songwriter was fascinated by overseas productions. Coincidence brought her together with American Producer/Composer Chiba Antoine and samples of their work were exchanged. Soon after, Ilse thought to herself: "Nothing is impossible but in your own mind", and she decided to fly from Brussels to New York armed with a notebook filled with songs and ideas. America and Europe would meet in Zen Room Studios with music as a universal language. Living life from the heart, Ilse's journey has taken her through many adventures and experiences, and each song reflects a different chapter of her story. While there were various different elements in her journey, together they form a puzzle and she found that the pieces fit. Ilse's background with a Masters in Psychology, fulfilled her desire to understand the world, life, human emotions and thoughts better. With her inspirational lyrics like "Keep Going" and "The Meaning of Life" she reaches out to people with a message of hope and the courage to be yourself. Ilse's warm natural voice makes you drift away on waves of musical oceans. She has flexibility in her voice that dances with the melody. This pop/soft rock album is an ode to music, life and love. As she says: "The ultimate feeling of freedom is to listen to music loud in your car and just drive... Or put on headphones, close your eyes and let the music bring you to another place..."
