  • Bio

.. The In & Outlaws are a four piece honky-tonk band from San Antonio formed in 2006 at a German Choir Bier Halle. Though playing traditional sounding roots based music, The In & Outlaws can't seem to shake the punk swagger that sometimes resonates through Rosey's Telecaster. They're still trying to fix this, it's either the 60+ collective years playing in punk, garage and indie acts or the band is possessed by Unicorns. This honky-tonk rock genre blending band often has the dance floors stompin'and hootin' and hollerin' and drinkin' and cussin' but never a fightin'- they're just the lovin' type. What to expect at an In & Outlaws show? Crushed cowboy hats under boot, lots of fence building, a downed bottle of whiskey and a long walk home. THE LEGEND OF THE IN AND OUTLAW It wasn't a clear day, in the head at least- four boys sittin' 'round barstools and the last whiskey bottle in Texas was emptied. And I know'd 'cause I kept a countin' all them bottle stackin' as high as them towers in Kuala Lumpur. Well anyhow, eight sheets to the wind with stars swirlin' 'round our heads, a mysterious masked individual (some may even call him Lone) ridin' atop a unicorn cantered through the saloon doors (believe it or not- a former drummer of the band was replaced because he believed the unicorn was pacing at a lateral two beat gait when it was obvious to the rest of the boys that what they saw was a controlled three beat gait that is so obviously a canter). The mysterious masked individual (some may even call him Lone) hopped off his unicorn pulled up a seat at the bar- looked around and then spoke in a form of a question. "You boy's ever hear of a town called Nashville?" Bleary and red eyed the boys looked up from their stupor one of them getting up from his stool approaching the mysterious masked individual (some may even call him Lone) and shouted "Nashville?! Have we boy's ever hear of a town called NASHVILLE?! Look west boys!" The remaining three got off their stools pulled down their pants and faced west. Thus the In & Outlaws were born.
