JESUS VOLT Hallelujah Motherfuckers DIXIEFROG After 10 years on the road, over 700 gigs and 3 studio releases, Jesus Volt is finally unleashing its live outfit and takes you on a musical journey through different styles, where modern music meets Rock and Roll, tinted with a strong blues sound. A recording in the likes of the great live albums of the 70's. That in those days meant eternal gratitude or never-ending despise. These 10 original cuts are fresh and vivid and proove that music must be in perpetual movement. Ddiggin' out 2 covers "Mannish Boy" and "John The Revelator" on beat box, samples and other Voodoo yells, the Volts are getting back on their feet gain in peak condition. Absolutely their most kick-ass and best work to date. Raw, immediate, intense and wild. A hell of a record!!! .. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .......... ...... .......... ROCK'N'ROLL. .... .... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. "The numbers on Jesus Volt: Jesus Volt has existed for ten years, performing over 700 concerts (France, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Austria and a one-month tour in Australia), has sold over twenty thousand CD’s, but more than any number can represent, they are four strong personalities: Lord Tracy (singer and harmonica), Mr. Tao (guitar), Julienass (bass), and Magic Doudous (drums). A few words on Jesus Volt: Jesus Volt is a united, homogenius and mature group of musicians who figured out just how to focus their wild energy into a solid group without losing their way individually down the creative, mysterious path of music. Together, they’ve managed to use their performances as a way to nourish their music. A few notes on Jesus Volt: Their music is a contemporary crossbreed of electronic sound, with a foundation richly based on Blues of the 40’s and 50’s, Funk of the 70’s, passing through the era of Rock and Roll, while keeping their ears open wide to the new sounds of the 21st century. Their third album, “In Stereo” was recorded in July 2005 in Chalet (Bordeaux, France), under the brilliant artistic direction of Tony Cohen, Australian producer of Nick Cave, Sacred Cowboys, as well as Michael Hutchence. He fell for Jesus Volt in 2004, during their tour in his native Australia. A few guest performers came along for the ride on this album, lending their talent to the four members of Jesus Volt: Arnaud Mellier, alias “DJ Cook”, from the group Ripley,on scratch & amp beats; Boney Fields (James Cotton, Buddy Guy, Maceo Parker etc… ) on trumpet and backup vocals; Nicolas Liesnard ..board and Frédéric Girard on percussion. Duly energized, the Volts headed into 2006 with fire in the gut and never stopped touring since. That fire was harnessed in March 2008 via a live album (live outfit) “Hallelujah Motherfuckers!” A recording in the likes of the great live albums of the 70’s, that in those days meant eternal gratitude or never ending despise. These 10 original cuts are fresh and vivid and prove that music must be in perpetual movement. Diggin’ out 2 covers, “Mannish Boy” and “John the revelator” on beat box, samples and other voodoo yells, the volts are getting back on their feet again in peak condition. Absolutely their most kick-Ass and best work to date. Raw, immediate, intense and wild. With intelligence, sensitivity, open-mindedness and talent, Jesus Volt confirms that Rock and Roll is not only here to stay, but is ready to cross into the frontier of tomorrow." • Sounds Like

Guess who?

"2012: JESUS VOLT BEFORE THE ALMIGHTY….ROCK AND ROLL   JESUS VOLT is finally a teenager - 13 years old - with over 1000 concerts worldwide on the meter. LORD TRACY (vox and harmonica), EL TAO (guitar), JULIENAS (bass) and MISTER H (drums), deliver their own brand of heavy Rock’n’Roll based on the unshakeable foundation of 40’s and 50’s Blues through to 70’s Funk. With hands on the heartbeat of music in this 21st century, JESUS VOLT dares to put various styles in the ring: Hip-Hop, Blues, Electro sampling and Hard Rock riffs…   Flashback to 2004; while touring in Australia, the group crosses paths with Tony Cohen, the producer of the likes of Nick Cave, Sacred Cowboys, Michael Hutchance amongst others.  Having caught Tony Cohen’s eye, the group’s third album « In Stereo » would be recorded under this Aussie’s direct command. Guests such as « DJ COOK » from the band « Ripley » on scratches and beats; Boney Fields (BB King, Luther Alison) on trumpet and back-up; Nicolas Liesnard on keyboards and Frédéric Girard on percussion all left their shared mark embedded in the album. « In Stereo » would be warmly received by press and public alike.   Flash forward to 2008, JESUS VOLT brings out their first live album. This is a crucial moment for any group who takes the dare to seek sweet recognition while risking the bitter taste of contempt…. The message rings clear: this music has to be kept in perpetual motion! There’s no room for yesterday’s Rock’n’Roll and Jesus Volt is the group who has the charisma to keep moving forward. So touring begins, taking the gang of four throughout Poland where they will share billing with Joe Bonamassa and Ten Years After to name only two. Gigs in  Lithuania, Germany, Holland, Austria, Italy and Croatia will follow.   JULY 2011. The summer send Jesus Volt back to the studio to work on the pre-production of the next album. Their ambition is to entice a major artistic director to take their music and their notoriety the next level up. The group gets in touch directly with Stuart Epps (Led Zeppelin, Paul Rogers, George Harrison, Elton John…) as well as with MARK OPITZ (AC/DC, INXS, KISS, ROSE TATTOO) from Australia. There is a holy denouement when both show their interest in the project. In the end, the group chooses Mark Opitz, thus following their affection for Australia and their musical affinities with this international producer whose work with AC/DC on « Powerage » and « Let There Be Rock » seems the only choice possible for this very Rock’n’Roll band.   Mark Optiz hopes to record with the group from May 27th to June 24, in a remote corner of the country after a week of intense preparation in Paris. The album is expected to come out in the autumn of 2012, planting a huge stone in this saintly sanctuary with several « guests » to be announced.   To be continued…..  "
