We are fortunate to have excellent guitars and a state of the art sound system.
The quality of sound is inspirational, and the above equipment is therefore a direct influence on us as performers.

Our debut CD 'Best Friends' is now available from our website at www.jiva.co.uk/cd.htm - on that page you can also see the full track listing, listen to high quality mp3 extracts and link to the full lyrics.

A beautifully balanced compilation of songs from their own pen and from carefully selected friends, and crafted into an audio dream capturing the wonderful sound of the Taylor guitars and the voice of jiva by sound engineer Ron Angus.
Terry Ferdinand
A real labour of love. Quality playing and vocals delivering a well rounded album.
Neil, FATEA Magazine
... the jiva sound is immediately recognisable: uniformly pleasant, even-toned and even-textured, with gentle and mellifluous twin-guitar accompaniment (instruments chiming in contented counterpoint) underscoring a soothing vocal line supported by equally gentle harmonies... replete with pleasing choruses and writing that espouses both wistful reminiscence and sensible, positive life-philosophy... Ron Angus has unerringly succeeded in faithfully capturing
jiva’s musical personality, so if you’ve enjoyed jiva in concert (where their music can certainly cast a special kind of spell), you need not hesitate in buying this disc.

Quotes
What a great pleasure to hear jiva twice in a week. Firstly at the Davy Lamp Folk Club and then at the Clarence in Blackpool. An act maturing with every show, and now displaying that precious ability to write songs that capture an audience's heart. The song about best friends is a pure winner. Superb!!!
Anthony John Clarke
I can’t get enough of their exquisite and gentle playing/singing. I don’t know what it is they have that’s so special, but I do know they have lots of it.
Terry Ferdinand, Bishop FM Radio
Thanks again for your music - I find it soothing, emotional and just what music should be - thought provoking.

jiva always enthral us with their gentle blend of guitar and harmony and last night was no different - their performance was enchanting as always.

‘When the soul of the piano and the acoustic music is colored, alternated and mixed with the electronic world of the synth. An intense and expessive style.’
‘Empathy, like art, is essential in life. It is as indefinable as concrete. This album was created from the desire to tell it, share it, evoke it in music.
'Empathy' is an album almost entirely instrumental, played with particular attention to the sounds and dynamics. It, such as empathy, contains different moods. The tracks pass through different cultures and musical expressions, in an electroacoustic music ensembe, stylistically harmonious’
Have a great day!
