Seine Spielfreude brachte ihm Engagements bei Legenden wie der US-Sängerin Sandy Patton oder dem Ellington-Bassisten Jimmy Woode ein. 2006 tourte er mit seinem viel beachteten eigenen Projekt "knecht – echt" durchs Land. .... Jonas Knecht studied saxophone in the Jazz School of St. Gallen. He is in very high demand as a session player as well as a live soloist. He had gigs with international stars like US-singer Sandy Patton or bassist Jimmy Woode, a long-time member of Duke Ellington’s Orchestra.     I cannot thank you enough for your kind support and friendship! Welcome to
    our ever growing family of friends. I'm really happy you have decided to
    become friends of the Wake Up (to child abuse) MySpace Music page. Just by
    adding us to your friends you have already demonstrated that you have a good
    heart and are willing to take a step towards ending the hidden suffering of
    so many.
    We also dare to hope you will be able to persuade some of your other MySpace
    friends to join our just fight against child abuse by adding us to their
    friends too. The larger our family of friends becomes, the more people we
    will be able to reach and educate about this terrible ‘disease’ sweeping
    across the world which blights the lives of more children than you may
    imagine. Please take a moment to read some of the statistics on child abuse

    Thanks so much for the Add–and your friendship. We enjoyed your music very much. Thanks for sharing it with all of us. It's a pleasure having you among our friends!

    We hope you and your friends enjoy our music, too. We've just added four new compositions and two new blogs about Umano.

    We wake up every morning and play the music of the new MySpace friends who have arrived at our site during the night. It occurred to us that these friends (you are among them) are almost universally positive, whether they be novices or legends, and without regard to their station in life or the country they occupy.

    It also occurred to us that we couldn’t hold a verbal conversation with most of these friends, but we have bridged that gap by expressing our art honestly with each other.

    We all have been filling the world with our music and art, in the hope that our messages of love and human understanding will have an impact on the world at large.

    What a gift and what an opportunity we have received from this technology!
