Bio
.. .. ..Jacqueline Pelham-Leigh (aka JPL 'the lady producer') is a London based producer/songwriter. JPL's music career began as a rapper when she had the opportunity to work with Tommy Faragher and Hinda Hicks in New York in 1997. She then later went on to become a member of the band FunkAngelic and that's where she first cut her teeth as a songwriter/producer. This led to the birth of ‘The Funky Angelz’ production team who re-mixed for Tommi ‘No Dibby’ (Sony), Romeo ‘I See Girls’ and the American artist Jo-Jo (Universal Records) ‘Leave Get Out’ and ‘Not That Kind of Girl’ released in 2004. JPL was also the very first female to win the producer battle at the prestigous Hip Hop event 'The Jump Off'. .. ..Moving forward and in the last year JPL has collaborated, produced and song written for artists such as Sean Mac (SonyBMG), Melanie Jean, Jordan Thomas, Remi Sealey, The Sehtt, Clement Marfo, Vizion City, The Beauty Skool Dropouts, to name just a few. She has also had the pleasure of writing with James Shephard, Lisa Carderelli, Daniel Spencer formerly of TWF (SonyBMG), Jud Mahoney, Jo Perry, Chaun Roy, Marlon James...... Look out for upcoming exciting collaborations in 2008. .. -
