Drawing from the cosmic melting pot of life and limitless musical influences ... from blues to broadway ... bluegrass to the beatles ...james to jackson brown(e) but mostly influenced by the soundtrack ... wafting thru the air, on the homefront of her early childhood ... by her Frank Sinatra wanna-be Dad and her Mom who worked in a small town record shop ... hawking Hank Williams and Bob Wills /Sons of the Pioneers records ... before she met and married her husband and raised a family of 11. Music filled the air of the bustling,irish homestead...the sounds of Sinatra, the crystal voiced Astrud Gilberto singing with Stan Getz ,Ella F. and the velvet vocals of Chet Baker ...The radio was turned on with the morning coffee ~~ After supper everyone sat around the table to sing ... mostly show tunes ~ songs from 'gypsy' were a favorite ~ and jazz standards. ~~ June first started playing guitar and writing songs in the remote, rugged country of the ~~ Adirondack Mountains ~~ beside the mirrored glistening , of a pristine lake ... and in the long ,reflective, snow drifted winters. Her first band was a bluegrass trio. June Moon's driving force has been her music, creativity and an artist's quest for love, joy and beauty ... one can feel the energy in every note she sings and plays ... each song , her canvas ~~~ Hard rocking blues, quiet meditative folk , lilting melodic pop....... Songs about life and love and the twists and turns of a wild heart ~~~ Songs steeped in joy,romance,yearning,loss and magic ~~ all propelled by June's rich ,soulful voice and her subtle,yet passionate guitar ... A dynamic stage presence who engages the audience and brings them into the moment.
