  • New song up!

    Current mood:blissful

    Hello!

I haven't written to you or put up a new song in forever it seems!  I have been writing songs and doing some demo recording for the full length album I'm working on, but I've always been tempted to show people my creations before they are ready and I didn't want to do that this time.  I hope to have the album finished by summer...we shall see :)

In the meantime, I recorded and posted a cover just for fun - its one of my new favorite songs: The Book of Love by Peter Gabriel...and I thought it appropriate as its Valentine's week :) I hope you like it.

You can find my two EP's Brief Sounds and Ghost in the Corner on itunes and you can find some more recent songs and recordings of mine as part of the two albums and one EP that my side project The Twilight Music Girls have released in the past year and a half.

Please rate and review my music on itunes if you feel so inclined - it helps it get heard by more people. :) I hope you are all having a wonderful 2010 and I will try to make my updates more frequent this year!

  • More Adventures in Busking

In busking, some days are better than others. For example, this week:

    Wednesday: played for an hour
spoils: sore throat, numb fingers, $1

    Thursday: played for an hour
spoils: $27.52, a balloon flower from the guy making them across the street, seeing an old friend and some really cute kids, and a discussion with a fellow busker about how "I have what it takes" - nice to hear from anyone.

  • Music Video!

In July 2009, Kris Angelis teamed up with Award-winning filmmaker Damian Horan (www.damianhoran.com) to create a music video for her song "Searching For Something That Can't Be Found."

Searching is a sentimental journey of connection and acceptance of one’s self. Its stunning and flowing visuals complement Angelis’s soothing acoustic sound. When Angelis finds herself on a small stage in her bedroom, she is transported into another world; on a mission to find what she is looking for, she travels through a sea of fans, all of who do not even notice she is there. What she finds is very surprising.

Inspired by such classic videos as Pearl Jam’s “Jeremy”and R.E.M.’s “Losing My Religion, Horan tried to create a feeling of isolation and despair with the video to setup its uplifting finale.

Searching (written by Tim Hanseroth of the Brandi Carlile Band)is a visual journey through the workings of the singer’s head. The stunning 35mm bleach-by-passed visuals of the video add to the sense of longing, despair, and hope that Angelis sings about.

Searching  has not been screened publicly and maintains its world premiere status. The video is currently on the music festival circuit and will be available for viewing following a successful run on the festival circuit.

    Technical Info
Running Time:  3 Min. 15 Sec.
    Aspect Ratio: 1.85
