Bio
Whilst under the tuition of various teachers including Bob Sydor, Stewart Curtis and Jean Toussaint, Leo was honing his performance skills as a Jazz musician by playing in various ensembles and big bands including Pete Long's Gillespiana, Phil Revens' Superjazz and NYJO. Leo quickly developed a massive thirst for the incredible sheets of sound that were produced by the great John Coltrane. Leo has performed with many acclaimed jazz musicians including Jim Mullen, Darren Altman, Pete Long, Ralph Salmins, Dave Lewis, Alex Garnett, Frank Griffith Big Band, Rod Youngs, Jim Richardson to name a few. He has also had the great pleasure to have performed in prestigious venues such as Ronnie Scott's, The Jazz Café, The Roundhouse, KoKo, 100 Club, The Vortex, Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Royal Festival Hall. Leo is currently studying at Trinity College of Music on the jazz performance degree. Under the tutelage of Jean Toussaint Leo continues to branch out and perfect his skills as a performer. He regularly works as a freelance and session musician in London and currently has a residency with his quintet whilst developing other projects including his Coltrane driven quartet.
