Lo-fi continues to blow up, from Chillwave hotties Neon Indian and Teengirl Fantasy, or, on the Garage Rock side, Thee Oh Sees, Vivian Girls and often-controversial Wavves. At the lead of this sound is the wild, recently-arrested*, garage pair of King Khan & BBQ Show. Khan, who rocked the Coachella 2010 festival, was called by Pitchfork “a stupendously stylish vocalist, able to ape everybody from the Big Bopper to Otis Redding without losing a move”, honorific references of the band’s unique blend of 1960's Doo-Wop with Garage punk. A sound forged when the KK & BBQ Show met up in Germany, and started playing in an old Nazi Bunker beneath the abandoned factory Khan lived in. KK & BBQ are embarking on a tour of Asia that will crash through Daegu, Busan and Seoul in the midst of several other nations.

I just wanted to express my thanks to you guys for sharing the stage with us in Lowell. It was such an amazing day of music: a shame you guys had to split so early on. Your set, too, was fucking fantastic. You are both so damn talented. Long live (and live well!) Live Footage!
