    Please contact us via Facebook or Twitter. Lostaura are a Brighton based Indie Rock band. Their brand of atmospheric contemporary Rock takes influence from the likes of Elbow, Coldplay and Editors. But can transcend to the edgier sounds of Muse and Kings of Leon. Dave McCormack (Vocals/keyboards) and Lewis Adams (guitar/vocals) originally met at school and have been writing together since. After various line-ups, the band finally met David Jackson-Mayo (Drums/vocals) and Kevin Anderson (Bass) through mutual friends. Last year the group of twenty something's released their debut mini-album "The Hiding Place". This record has taken a more direct approach musically compared to their previous more alternative recordings. Taking time out over the Winter months, Lostaura are back with great new songs, and are looking to release a new album for the autumn and tour constantly, which kick started in May with a slot at this years Great Escape festival. This song crashes around forcefully, but without ever losing control and also maintains their seasoned recipe of subtle, weaving guitars that ebb them slightly away from the mainstream enough to be taken as seriously as they so desire. .. .. 'Uwer' delights with its Jonny Marr educated jingles and jangles and obscure rumbling bass lines reminding us that Lostaura are more than just power chords and hooks, but unfortunately this sometimes gets lost in the mayhem and confusion of it's chorus.
