my ancestors who fought for me to be here

Blurbs

About me:

If we go back to before I was born, my mother's ancestors were benefiting from the bounty of stolen lands in Aotearoa very close to the same time that my father's ancestors were surviving the colonization of their communities in Clayoquot Sound (Tla-o-qui-aht territory). I was conceived through the love of two people who came from two different worlds. My parents were living alone on an island just outside the settlement now called Tofino throughout my time in the womb. She gave birth to me under the raging sun of summer on the beach only meters away from the ocean. I am the middle ground and unseverable connection between two parallel histories. ..

Who I'd like to meet:

People who genuinely believe in holding each other up.
