LISEZ L'ARTICLE SUR MIKE BEASELEY ( Mejazzz) PUBLIE DANS " All about Jazz". July 18 2009.

Voici un site dédié aux compos d'amis sur lesquelles j'ai posé une voix, fais les choeurs et mis le clavier, le tout pour le fun, enregistré en homestudio.
Il s'agit, pour la plus grande partie, de collaborations avec les "Improsteurs" que je salue chaleureusement au passage, et pour d'autres, de compos originales.(7 is missing, Happy birthday,Beautiful Hump).

Ces trois dernières pistes sont des clins d'oeil.
"Beautiful Hump" était un défi, faire une chanson sur la manière dont nos hormones nous manipulent.
"The 7 is missing" répondait à un autre défi. Deux amis manquant à une soirée de musiciens qui portaient des noms qui rappelaient le son "7" : Reset et B7. Le challenge était de faire une chanson en "b7" ( si7) parlant de leur absence, je m'y suis collé.
"Happy birthday" est un hommage a Frederique Bajart, la chanteuse à qui je dois de chanter aujourd'hui, c'est une piste faite pour son anniversaire.


Toutes les compos instrumentales sont dans le lecteur SOUNDCLICK, ci-dessous. Il s'agit de musique faites au clavier en homestudio.

Cela constituait le gros de mon activité musicale avant que je ne m'oriente plus sérieusement vers le chant, depuis quelques mois.

C'est grâce aux encouragements des" improsteurs" et l'inestimable soutien de la chanteuse de jazz professionnelle, Frederique Lapasset qui m'accompagne, me conseille et m'encourage.

Je lui dédie donc ce site. Sans elle ( et les "improsteurs" ), je chantonnerais encore dans ma salle de bain, rouge de honte.

Me and an occasional bass and drum player, who haven't made a proper recondrding on the tracks yet. Part of my work goes into making music for other people, plays, exhibitions and shows.

Influences:

Jazz, Funk, R&B basically. I love classical music too, or any style played with the heart.

This site is dedicated to friends' tracks on which I put lead and backtrack voices , just for fun really,recorded in my homestudio. Most of the tracks or collabs with " Improsteurs" musicians.

I seize the opportunity to thank them for their help and support. Some songs are original tracks.

I recorded voices and music for "7 is missing, Happy birthday,Beautiful Hump". They are all three fun tracks. "Beautiful hump" was a challenge : to make a song on the overwhelming power of hormones...

"The 7 is missing" is another challenge. Two friends where missing at a musician reunion, both their names had the "7" sound in them. ( Reset, b7) . The idea was to make a song for them in B7 key, talking about their absence.
"Happy Birthday" is a vocal present for the jazz vocalist "Fréderique Bajart". Without the great support of this wonderful coach I'd still be shyly humming tunes in the bathroom.


On the Soundclick player below you'll find all the instrument tracks performed merely on keyboards in my homestudio.

Some tracks are dubbed slap bass tracks I found and recorded on youtube ( Where I live, Hommage to Wotten) on which I added synths and piano.
