Born in Humboldt County, and raised on the dance floor, Dj Miss Dust has always been an energetic person full of style and charisma. As a young girl she discovered her natural talents as an artist and choreographer. After high school she moved to Southern California to continue her education at Long Beach State and Cal State University Fullerton. At the time, collecting vinyl and Djing was only a hobby that she picked up on quickly. “Music was another form of art for me, a way to express myself. Through music I could just be me.” Miss Dust had always been a music lover, but was mesmerized by the bass of electronic beats. With this passion for house and electronic music she soon realized that she had found her true destiny. While in school she was able to broaden her artistic talents by studying all areas of music and entertainment. She graduated in 2004 with a Bachelors Degree in Entertainment Communications and a Minor in Radio, TV, and Film. After finishing her internship with Mystical Vibrations Entertainment, she landed her first residency at Ziings. Representing the house scene every Friday night, Miss Dust helped to establish Ziings as Fullerton’s busiest hotspot. During those years she stayed focused and was able to work her way into the entertainment industry, performing in popular Fashion Stores, Conventions, Celebrity Events and LA & OC’s hottest Nightclubs. With her fun loving attitude, driving creative force, and energetic sets Miss Dust was coined “The OC’s fastest rising star.” Continuing her growth in the industry, she was then invited to dust the deserts of Las Vegas, where she became contracted as a resident with the world renown Pure Management. Alongside fellow residents Hollywood, DJ AM, and Frank Richards she had firmly entered the DJ community, where she is destined to become a key player in the global dance scene. Her ability to be a crowd pleaser and really connect emotionally with her audience landed her a part in the Las Vegas Afterhour scene and has also given her the opportunity to travel to other states and countries. Determined to grow as an artist, she has begun producing her own music and has been able to work with other artist she once dreamed of meeting. Over the last 9 years Miss Dust has refined her ability to flawlessly perform all styles of music. Her energy and unique style will always catch your eye, and your ear. “It’s really all about the vibe and what the crowd feels in that moment.
