For one night only MusicByMeiosis presents... The Bowie Experience who are the country's finest David Bowie tribute band. This 2 hour show will sort the spacemen from the spaceboys. Hailing from the UK’s deep south they will be travelling to World Headquarters, Newcastle for a very special show. They will play music spanning Bowie’s entire career; from the golden years of Major Tom and Ziggy Stardust to the reality of being afraid of Americans and Heathens. The Bowie Experience formed in 1997 and have since achieved credit as an act in their own right. Playing venues from The Royal Albert Hall to at the top of what has commonly become known as ‘The Gherkin’. They have supported tours with The Boomtown Rats, Boney M and Roy Wood. They have appeared in TV sitcoms, commericals, endless press and radio and have recorded a series of successful unplugged Bowie albums… Which led to the a proud moment for the band when a request came from the admin at BowieNet for 2 copies. "One for me and one for Mr Bowie!". Support will come from supreme local thin white dukes, Captain Trips and also from local Major Tom, Martin 'Meiosis' Thompson.
