Bio
Necromass was born in 1992 and shined as a sinister, infernal star. The first demo "Connected Body Pentagram" (1992) was out the same year; it has been reprinted several times and distributed in thousands of copies. The following year they released their first 7'' EP, "His Eyes" (Carnefician Prod., 1993), a raw and wild black metal work, containing, among other things, the first version of "Sodomatic Orgy of Hate" (later re-recorded for the first album "Mysteria"). 1994 was the year of the final explosion of the band on an international scale, first with the release of the second 7'' EP "Bhoma" (Miscarriage Records, 1994) and then with their first full length "Mysteria Mystica Zothyriana" (Unisound International, 1994 ). With "Mysteria" Necromass created a masterpiece of pure hate, pure evil. The influence of "Mysteria" on the international black metal movement is crucial; many years later the album is still considered a milestone in the genre. The second album, "Abyss Calls Life" (1996, Dracma Rec.) represents the black metal evolution into complex forms of hatred: violence is enhanced by melodic and progressive songwriting. The album is reviewed as one of the most important extreme metal releases of the year. The vocalist Carlo Bellotti (aka Charles Blasphemy) left the band after the recording of "Abyss"; then Necromass decided to ask their bassist Ain Soph Aour to play the role of lead singer as well. The same year, in September, the band embarked on the Satanic War Tour I, together with Dark Funeral: Necromass are acclaimed by metal fans all over Europe, from Paris to Rotterdam from London to Berlin, where the concert is filmed by German TV. In 1997, Necromass continued touring intensively, with the Italian Assault Part II, a very successful tour with Sadist and Detestor, which brings them to perform in theaters and sports arenas. A year later, Necromass published the mini-cd "Chrysalis Gold" (1998, recorded at Nadir Studios): an advance from the new material, written for their third unfinished album. A few months later, following to various personal problems, Necromass disbanded. After 11 years of silence, the band announced the long-awaited reunion, driven by the re-releases of the first two albums by the German label Funeral Industries and by the inexhaustible support from the fans, who have continued to honor the name of Necromass over the years. The band is three quarters the same one that has performed dozens of concerts (including the tour with Dark Funeral) after the release of "Abyss": Ain Soph Aour (vocals, bass), John Cordoni, aka JC Chaos (guitar) and Nachzerher Mara (guitar), while Charun replaced Black Wizard (who joined Domine in 2001) on drums. In 2011, Funeral Industries reissued the CDs "Mysteria Mystica Zothyriana" (1994) and "Abyss Calls Life" (1996): remastered by Vince Mustone (Limbo, Death SS, Narr!) , both discs contain exclusive bonus tracks and new booklets. The reissue of "Mysteria" include, for the first time on CD, the two 7'' EP "His Eyes" (1993) and "Bhoma" (1994), both remastered, plus a live track. "Abyss Call Life" has a completely new artwork and contains two great versions of "Vibrations Of Burning Splendour" and "Bloodstorm Collide", from an unreleased 1995 demo. The band had its official comeback at Rock Hard Festival in Milan on September the 17th 2011 and is now preparing for new gigs and releases. complimenti per il concerto di ieri, è stato un piacere rivedervi sul palco. unica pecca i suoni, le chitarra erano troppo confuse e si faticava a capire le linee e le armonizzazioni anche per uno come me che i vostri dischi li conosce a memoria. a presto
