Hello and welcome to my MySpace page

I'm primarily known as a bass-player which is how I've earned my living for the past 18 years. Over this period, I have worked alongside a varied range of artists, involving different musical styles in many settings (see 'artists' section)

Also, as an active writer, I have always tried to develop my writing alongside my playing: I have written for a small dance company and for independent films. I have co-written tracks with singer/songwriters and have done a handful of commissioned work for advertising, corporate and the like.

This is what has been happening recently and projects I'm working on at the moment:

I am back working with The Bays renewing our relationship after a few years. This time, it's part of the JukeBox project and I am on Ableton, not bass. In a nutshell, the audience select the material we perform via an app they download to their iphone or android phone. A technological and logistic minefield but lots of fun. Look out for tour dates in Oct/Nov this year.

Just finished a UK tour with the legendary Jack Bruce (see my blog). More dates throughout the summer including a special show at London's Festival Hall.

Joey Negro's Sunburst Band had a great 2010 playing at festivals and gigs all over Europe. This is another band where I'm not playing bass. I'm controlling the sequencer and playing interactively using Ableton Live. We ended last year with 2 sold out nights at London's Jazz Cafe, and now looking forward to another good year ahead.

Making good progress on the album project with Martha Lewis. Please check out “O Pasatempos” on my playlist which was recently mastered.

I have been doing a lot more programming work in recent years, creating backing sequences for artists such as Anastacia and Tom Jones for use in their live shows. Now this has been extended to working with the new young phenomenon Labrinth. Currently on pre-production, look out for live dates in the summer including Glastonbury, Bestival and others

I also write and produce library music and teach on a degree course at University of Westminster.

I am an endorser of Mark Bass bass amplification equipment and Galli guitar strings.
