Patife Band is a project by the musician/composer Paulo Barnab�, that started in 1985, when they recorded their 1st EP. Initilly founded as "Paulo Patife Band", had its name reduced to "Patife Band", and recording their 2nd album, named "Corredor Polon�s" (WEA/1987) Paulo Barnab� is influenced by classical composition techniques leading to assymetrical rythms, atonal cells, dodecaphonic series. Also there..s confessed punk-rock, jazz and brazilian rythms influences, that makes the "joke" even more spicy! Only in 2003 they came back for a concert in the demo-sul festival, Londina/PR/Brazil with the formation: Paulo Barnab� - vox // Emerson Vilanni - guitars // Eduardo Batistella - drums // Mauricio Biazzi - bass. Patife Band is a project by the musician/composer Paulo Barnabé, that started in 1985, when they recorded their 1st EP. Initilly founded as "Paulo Patife Band", had its name reduced to "Patife Band", and recording their 2nd album, named "Corredor Polonês" (WEA/1987)

Paulo Barnabé is influenced by classical composition techniques leading to assymetrical rythms, atonal cells, dodecaphonic series. Also there..s confessed punk-rock, jazz and brazilian rythms influences, that makes the "joke" even more spicy!

Patife Band é um projeto do músico e compositor Paulo Barnabé, que teve início no ano de 1985, quando é gravado seu primeiro EP. Inicialmente fundada como "Paulo Patife Band", teve o nome reduzido para apenas "Patife Band", quando gravam seu segundo disco, intitulado "Corredor Polonês" (WEA/1987) Paulo Barnabé tem influência das técnicas de composição erudita contemporânea de onde surgem ritmos assimétricos, células atonais, séries dodecafônicas. Há também assumida influência de punk-rock, do jazz e ritmos brasileiros, o que torna a "brincadeira" ainda mais interessante!

Apenas em 2003 volta à ativa gravando um disco ao vivo no festival demo-sul em Londrina/PR com a formação: Paulo Barnabé - voz // Emerson Vilanni - guitarra // Eduardo Batistella - bateria // Mauricio Biazzi - baixo.
