.. Barely 3 years ago, Dale James Ferrer on acoustic guitar & Kate Torres on vocals & percussion, each one coming from a different band decided to form Pillowcase as the demand for local musicians rose incredibly during that time. Armed with only 30 songs in their repertoire (mostly alternative), the duo landed a spot in one of Malate’s busiest bars, OURs Malate. People started to notice the talent & potential of the group as more & more bars offered them to play in their establishments. 5 months later & Pillowcase was playing 6 times a week, landing spots in Café Adriatico by the bay, Seaside, Big Mama’s, & The Watering Hole Brewery. Hundreds of gigs, out-of-towns, a successful EP release, a few changes in the band’s roster, and a Tokyo stint later, the band is back with a new percussionist, Ian Paul Salonga, and Carlo Duque on Bass guitar, ready to rock the acoustic scene once again.
